GoJays1562 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Yikes what happened to Boston? Peak too early?
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Agreed. Boston looks awful so far. I think they have lost their past 7 of past 8 games.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Red Sox can absolutely bounce back from this.
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 hmmmm watching Washington and the dodgers ....isn't that Harold Reynolds as Color analyst? Thought he was relieved of his duties?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Ortiz's steroids must have worn off. You're getting an early preview of Boston's 2017 offense without Ortiz. They are incredibly reliant on him.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 So is the consensus here that we'd rather play the Indians? I'd much rather play the Indians in a 7 game series. Their starting pitching is beat all to s***. On top of that, we have a bunch of their former coaches and front office people working for us now.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Man, if the ALCS ends up being Shapiro's old team against Shapiro's new team, I wonder what all the internet trolls on social media who spent all winter trashing his name will do. A lot of panic.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 I'd actually rather play the Red Sox because I suspect the Indians will kick off protests in Toronto outside the game.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Red Sox can absolutely bounce back from this. as a jays fan, we want that series to go 5 rough and long games no matter who comes out the other end. If the Jays can close out sunday and that series goes 5 the jays get a bit of time to heal.

On top of that, we have a bunch of their former coaches and front office people working for us now.I don't want to get ahead of myself because we all remember how the Jays were in the situation last year that Texas is right now, however my head and heart says it's better that they would play Cleveland instead of Boston. Last year I said to myself I would have rather seen Toronto play Houston in the ALCS and not Kansas City, because it would have given Toronto home field and I couldn't stand the Royals because of all their late game comebacks.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Today's game is PPD due to inclement weather until tomorrow 6pm. If we sweep today, how much is all the extra days off gonna affect us? I hope not much
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Hm Game postponed until tomorrow

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 What day does ALCS start? Friday
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Don't know who to cheer for in this game. I definitely want Cleveland to win the series, but I'd rather them struggle and do it in five.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 WTF even my wife said " why didn't he catch that "
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Some wasted chances by Cleveland
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 s***, just realized Vic Carapazza is on the umpire crew. Who let this guy into the post season.....Hopefully he is never behind the plate in any of the Jays games coming up.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Of course Buccholz chooses tonight of all nights to be competent. f*** the Sox!
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Red Sux offensively challenged .
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Red Sux offensively challenged . Pitching and defense, it's not just a cliche. Boston will always be dominated by their opponent in that respect in this postseason.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Don't like bunting here with Naquin on deck.
JoeCarter Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 You're getting an early preview of Boston's 2017 offense without Ortiz. They are incredibly reliant on him. Wat? No. What does "reliant" mean anyway? Ortiz is just one scary component of a lineup that is mostly terrifying from top to bottom. When he's bad (or gone), Sox are marginally worse, but still the best offense in baseball.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Boston in serious trouble
