crederer Verified Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Because it is damn near impossible to hit Britton's 97 mph sinker hard. And is it also damn near impossible to get a run or two in 3 innings they have before then? Seriously are you this negative all the time?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 That needs to be all for Stroman. No way should they get a 3rd look at him but Gibbons doesn't manage like that.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Biagini warming again.... I guess bridging to Liriano? I read on twitter that Biagini is warming in case he needs to come in mid-inning. Liriano would come in at the beginning of an inning. Not sure if that's just spitballing or what.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Fans have been great and Stroman has done his job...is Liriano going to pitch nex?
rydermike Verified Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Hopefully they don't need 3 errors to score a run.. I'll take what I can get lol
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 For all the s*** Martin is getting he's blocked at least 10 slurves in the dirt and framed that pretty well. He's been fantastic, he just called 1 regrettable pitch.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 And is it also damn near impossible to get a run or two in 3 innings they have before then? Seriously are you this negative all the time? You asked about Britton.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Go have a beer Stro.. Biagini for one inning while Liriano stretches out.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 You tip your cap to Trumbo there, nothing more. Yessir. It might be a good spot for him, but sinker down and in nabbing the zone is great fundemntal baseball
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Adequate performance from Stroman, time to get him out of there.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 And is it also damn near impossible to get a run or two in 3 innings they have before then? Seriously are you this negative all the time? This guy, is missing the point.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Martin and Stroman have been stupendous tonight.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Not sure how many batter that is for Stroman but it's close to enough. Third time through the order numbers are not pretty.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Time to f***ing score boysss
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 There was no shake and Stroman hit his spot. Credit goes to Trumbo but Stroman gets zero blame. Jones' hit before Trumbo's was on a good pitch as well. Jones basically threw his bat at that one.

Liriano would come in at the beginning of an inning. Not sure if that's just spitballing or what. Seems to make sense. Liriano coming in mid-inning to walk a batter would sort of suck and I think he needs to try and treat it like he's starting a game.

I wouldn't mind him staying in until he gets a base runner on then pulling him for Biagini before handing it to Liriano. Sounds like a damn good plan to me

Sounds like a damn good plan to me It's not the baserunner that's his problem, it's letting another one go over the wall to the meat of their order.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 It's fricken Tillman destroy him ffs

Some manager are reluctant to bring in starting pitchers mid inning since they're not used to it.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Missing those pitches man They know it too. So frustrating.
