burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Yankees have bases loaded none out Doesn't matter... Red Sox clinched.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Yankees have bases loaded none out Red Sox have already clinched with us losing.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 So 3 blown saves out of our last 4 games. Could have been on a 5 game win steak and almost had this locked up. Compare that to Britton hasn't blown one all season and it kind of tells the tale.
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Red Sox have already clinched with us losing. Oh yeah.. tonight really sucks.
BillBucknorslegs Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Yet, we're winning? 6-3 since the 19th? All right, what the f***. For the sake of sheer pedantry here we go: >In 1987 the Blue Jays were 3½ games up on Detroit and had gone 19-5 in September. We were a 'lock' to win the division until we lost the last 7 in a row, including crucially 4 games to the team chasing us by one run, 2 of them in extra innings. Crazy s*** happened in those last 7 games and there are many of us who still remember the pain of that season. Are we seeing it now?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 ftfy You are a true living piece of s***, and I can't fathom ever breathing air beside you, douche. Yes, you are the prick you sought yourself becoming, *******. You're the worst, and a chick in real life, ya pussy.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 My nightmare is that they get to the wildcard, lose, and Gibbons is brought back.............
NixonBunt Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 What s frustrating and debilitating loss
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Carrera getting caught stealing sure looks bad now. Worst part is he didn't even get caught.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Compare that to Britton hasn't blown one all season and it kind of tells the tale. What sucks is it might not have happened if we had a manager that knew how to use a bullpen. Using Osuna for 30 ish pitches last night was stupid. The offense needs to pick up the pitchers/ bullpen some. The bullpen can't be pitching in 1 runs every game because we can't score more than 1 or 2. They will blow a few and it keeps getting more pressure fueled from here.
Josh Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 It's a good point I was wondering why he had to use Osuna last night

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 My nightmare is that they get to the wildcard, lose, and Gibbons is brought back............. I don't think that happens. Coaching has cost us a min or 10 games this year. The new front office has to recognize this and with the changing of the team's main players expected next year there should be no reason he comes back.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 My nightmare is that they get to the wildcard, lose, and Gibbons is brought back............. Nah, this front office kept Gibbons specifically to scapegoat him (at least I hope that was the reason because the guy wouldn't manage above Double-A anywhere else). If the Jays miss the playoffs or lose the WC game, then the hick who never should have been rehired in the first place will be sent packing. Much like last year, this team is going to have to win in spite of Gibbons.
Josh Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 That stupid brawl vs the yankees could be the nail in the coffin for the jays

If you have a 4 run lead you don't use the closer. You have to trust the other members of the bullpen....otherwise you end up with what we got tonight and possibly tomorrow night when your closer will not ,or should not, be available..
ChrisS Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 If the Os win tomorrow night you can almost forget about a WC game at Rogers center
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Jesus Montero would look nice right now. Lol no
BillBucknorslegs Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 I was there... no similarity. Is splitting hairs over an obvious parallel actually making you feel any better? I've got to be honest, I don't give a f*** any more. Take your 'victory' - I'm going to drink now.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Kimbrel just shat the bed and Kelly gave up a walk off grand slam.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 lol tex walks it off, so both teams celebrate
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Stop bitching you f***ing whiners. You survived the ALDS last year, you can survive a s***** loss with the team still on top of the standings.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 If the Os win tomorrow night you can almost forget about a WC game at Rogers center Jays hold the tiebreaker against the Os so its really like the BlueJays are 2 Games ahead. A win tomorrow pretty much seals it for the Jays.
