Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Someone suggested the possibility of beating Baltimore in the WC game, Texas in the ALDS, and then Boston in the ALCS. What I wouldn't give for that to happen... That would be pretty wonderful. If the Orioles are going to play in the wild card game I think they will have to win the series against us. Would prefer that didn't happen. Really hard to imagine it won't be us vs Detroit.

It really only fits after a Blue Jays win.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Thrilling baseball game followed by a thrilling hockey game. Does it get any better for a true Canadian sports fan?

candymartinez Verified Member Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 I'm cheering for Boston now. Jays aren't winning the division. I'd rather have the Red Sox clinch before the last series so they take their foot off the gas a bit.

If they can go on a run and win 7 of their last 8, we have a shot albiet a small one.

If the Jays are within three of Boston by the series in Fenway, they pretty much would have to have locked up WC1 anyways. Die Red Sox Die.

They're currently within 1.5 games of both the Indians and Rangers for #1 seed, so extremely unlikely we get anything but their starters for at least the first game or 2 of that series.

Can you believe the kind of games we would see in Boston if we were 3 or less games back?

Loser's mentality right there, If we enter the Red Sox series 4 games back I'll start clinging for WC hopes, but now? f*** the Red Sox lol
