Not sure why we want this team in the playoffs so bad... They have been objectively awful for the last few weeks. Tough pill to swallow especially with Bautista and Edwin checking out next year.

 

Yeah what's the point if we can't score more than three runs against mediocre/s*** pitchers?

Feldman's f***up is when he walked Souze who inexplicably has 5 BB's in 2 games against us when he only had 26 walks all season before this series. That allowed them to bunt a runner to 3rd with one out. At that point he's got to go for a K but he just couldn't do it.

 

And as I type this we have a passed ball and the game is essentially over.

There's always a chance they could get hot or really lucky.

Amazingly s*** luck for the Jays today.

 

Then again, playing a competent baseball game reduces the smelly fart of bad luck when it hits. Close games suck.

 

We actually had some luck with 3 DPs and they made some base running errors. We just don't have the offense this season to win when our pitching is about average ish.

 

This inning needs a circus tent put up over it.

Yup. Loss for us and the BoSox is still a win for them. Its one less game to make up the 2 we are behind. Sept has just sucked.

Gibbons still has a job because he's easy to scapegoat. That's the only reason I can think of that he's still around.

 

If the Jays tank the rest of the way, Gibbons has no chance of coming back. It sucks that they wasted what could be the Jays last great chance at a WS for a while with that Goober managing.

 

We need a Dave Roberts type of manager next. We need a guy that adopts data/saber-metrics and makes calculated decisions. A lackadaisical loafer sitting in the dugout making awful bullpen/lineup decisions every night can't be great for motivating the players.

True. At least we'll still have 18 games to go, we still got a shot at the division... even though we suck right now.
