jglicksm Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Spinning wheel of death for an hour now ... I've requested 500s so it eventually goes through and gives me crap seats I will just cancel and try my luck game to game next season. Your loss Blue Jays! If anyone doesn't like the seats they get (particularly in 500-level), feel free to get in touch. Looking for people to split with.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 You have to go through account manager. The cues are really long now. System is archaic and SLOW. Given they don't necessarily share you views as to best available seats it may not matter that there is a delay to get in. I think there isn't a link on purpose so that only existing users try to get in. Yeah I did 100 level outfield and I was getting 136 row 9 and 10. Not even going to waste my time. I'll call when its less busy and get row 5 and 6 like I did last year.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 At least it looks like there are some decent opponents for C and D games (Cle, Balt, KC)....although they are mid-week.

Based on season ticket availability/ sales I don't think that's left though... It was the same thing last year. The system just goes through each section so section 138 and 139 there is probably seats in rows 6-8 but it makes it fill up from the sides first.
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Are these tickets on sale today?
bnnguy Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Tried another browser and then couldnt even get in to select games. Called in and after half hour wait was able to get OK seats. Not sure if Im in the 'first 8,000' to assure access to 2017 playoff tickets, but oh well.

Jonzo Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I usually goto games on Thursdays, or Fridays. I can't really make the 12-pack work since those are usually category A games. I got most of it to work except I have 3 games left to pick from C&D and can't find anything that's good.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I think its pretty dumb for them to be asking fans to buy 2017 tickets so early. Most of us just paid a shitload for postseason tickets. I'll worry about next season when THIS season is over.

I was on hold for an hour then got transferred to a ******** department that said they would call back tomorrow or Monday to offer me tickets, if I get anything less than where I have been sitting for the past 5 years I will just buy single game tickets through work instead of getting this ******** run around.

They didn't even wait 24 hours of the schedule coming out to put Flex Packs on sale. It's pretty ridiculous
SweetSmellingChacin Verified Member Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I guess their system is set up to fill up a section before moving to the next one, so I keep getting rows way in the back. I'm not interested in sitting in row 131967 even though it might be closer to homeplate. I think I will just wait until single game tickets go on sale and I will just pick and choose what I want.
bnnguy Verified Member Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Call into the Jays office, they will help you get the available section / row combo that suits you - thats what I did yesterday afternoon.

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Got my 20 pack for next year, prices went up about $6 per game and the "convenience fee" is now like $50 or some s***. I got 1 section closer to home in the 200's but best rows I could get were row 9 which is lame as f*** because they block 1 - 5 for season ticket holders. I got Home Opener and Canada Day with the pack, not bad I guess.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Did you call in? I called in on Thursday and they took down my name and number due to high volume, then they called me yesterday as they wanted to get to "employees" first before the general public, not sure why they did that, slightly unfair.
StubbinHub Verified Member Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Long time flex pack and ticket buyer and I refuse this package. Before I could buy 20 or 40 tix and get extras to sell for bobblehead games or to bring friends to games with me. I could get a pair for games I was just going with my wife or 3-4 for games where more of us were going. Also, if you choose good gamesnow, they'll gouge you later and increase what you pay for those tix once game sells out. It's a joke and offers ZERO flexibility for numbers of tickets to games and I hope they lose 100 games next year and this blows up in their face.

You hope they lose 100 games because they changed their flexpacks? Great fan you are... Basically you are complaining because you can't resell your tickets for as high a mark up as before, which is likely why they changed the structure of it.

StubbinHub Verified Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Actually, I sell fewer than 10 pairs a year but attend 10+ games. It's the lack of flexibility that is garbage. I paid $700'-$800 for 40 500 lvl seats before and that same number of good games will now cost me $1200+ once they dynamically price it. It's called negative billing.....pay more later AND get crappy choice with no opportunity to buy extra tix for the couple games you may bring buddies. Scalpers will just buy more season tix now so when they make playoffs the little guy will be shut out of tix unlesd they pay on secondary market.

Scalpers will just buy more season tix now so when they make playoffs the little guy will be shut out of tix unlesd they pay on secondary market. Every major sports team usually does dynamic pricing, so not sure why this is an issue. I have Raptors season tickets, and games against the Cavs or Warriors for my upper bowl seats are close to $150-$170 each face value, where some weeknight or Sunday night games against the 76ers etc. are only $50-60 each. The average cost of every game for me though works out to be $56.667 per seat per game, so as long as I sell tickets for more than that price, I'm coming out ahead. As for baseball, there are so many games that I can't justify getting season tickets for an entire year, unless you go in with like 3 or 4 people. Unless you want to be a scalper from April-October, season tickets just for one person is a lot of games to try and sell. And unless you sell the premium games like the Home Opener, Canada Day game, weekend games on Saturday/Sunday vs. good teams, then there is a small chance you make money or break even. And from my friends with season tickets, I offered to buy like 5-10 games this year from them, though they only offered me crummy weeknight games against the Rays, Royals, Twins in April, May & June ,etc. when I could buy those games from the secondary market likely cheaper then face value, so whats the point?

Hey Stubbinhubb-- I see you just joined and welcome to the forum! I think you are mistaking both the name and definition of the term you are trying to use. Negative OPTION billing is the phrase you are trying to reference. It refers to when a company makes you take a service unless you say no. For example, if you had a package with Rogers without HBO and then they decided that they wanted you to take it, then sent you notice in the mail saying "if you don't reply by X date we will give you HBO and add Y dollars to your bill." They actually did something like that in the 1990's. It was deemed illegal and they had to pay a lot of people back, and that was around the time they started to get a bad name in the public eye (and haven't really recovered in image, albeit their bottom line is still great). I echo the comments of the other posters. They are simply catching up with the times and saying- why should we let the scalpers get all the money? I think you're mistaken about scalpers getting season tickets. They actually mainly get flex packs, for the exact reasons you've specified (it used to be a really cheap way to snag up all the weekend games that can be sold for big money). I will also point out that playoff tickets were way easier to get this year than last year. A friend of mine without a flex pack managed to log in to ticketmaster an hour after seats went on sale and got the games he wanted (wild card, ALDS and World Series 1 + 7). Last year every time playoff tickets opened up they sold out within 10 minutes. As a season ticket holder, I can tell you that it is a blessing and a curse. I love having access to any game in AMAZING seats in the 500 level, but hate getting stuck with a random Tuesday or Wednesday in April. I think I can solve both our problems, though. Private message me if you'd like. I can sell you some of the games you seem to like going to at cost. You can buy as many or as few games as you'd like. Also, I have the ability to buy (well already bought) two promo packs, so you can get all those bobbleheads you want, if you you take at least 10 games. That offer is good for anyone on this forum, but I am directing it to you since it completely fixes all the problems you are complaining about (assuming you're not complaining because you can't make money off flex packs and use the profits to attend the games you go to for free.
