guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Did the entire team catch Edwin's STD? The best way to ruin a joke is to use the same one over and over again!
CBlake Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Did the entire team catch Edwin's STD? Hope I did not just from watching this infected piece of s*** on this Friday evening.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 What's going to rally suck if this downward spiral continue is that a sold out crowd for the rest of the season is going to be exposed to it. I really wonder how far it will fall back next season, will nights of 15-20K a night become the norm again. Probably, yeah. If the team is under .500 by next May and Edwin and Jose both left in the offseason, I could totally see 15k on weeknights again. Giveaways will still be sold out though.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Not sure if you were around in 87 but that team didnt know how to win Thats when they got the Blow Jays moniker. Statement stands. They still had many of the 85 team on that roster, is this what you're illuminating this stupid fallacy too? Hence, you debunked your original post.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 LOL at Anthopoulos trading Noah Syndergaard, Jake Marisnick and Daniel Norris away for this garbage product. Any team that gives him a second chance as a general manager should be contracted immediately. Still can't believe anyone defended that clown. And speaking of second chances, it's time to fire that dumb hick Gibbons while we're at it. He didn't deserve to be brought back in the first place. You need a soapbox on BlueJaysway!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 The statement doesn't stand. The 1985 team won a tough pennant race against the yanks, won s franchise record 99... It was all the same players... Stieb, key, Fernandez. Bell, Garfield. They did not lose the pennant race because of lack of experience. These guys are far worse than the 87 team. They will lose because they are old... Basically that's it. Nothing to do with experience. To much experience maybe Don't ever misspell Barfield again, thanks.
TraviscantplayD Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Nice to see some of you guys are actually opening your eyes to the garbage team that AA left behind

CBlake Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Nice to see some of you guys are actually opening your eyes to the garbage team that AA left behind Not really how much of a garbage team is it. Would you rather have had him do nothing last year and not have experienced that playoff run and division title?

No one is going to care about that bat flip in 2020 if there are no playoff appearances in 2016, 17, 18, and 19. That's the thing about short term moves. If it works, then great. If it doesn't, then you have the current Jays. A team with one more good left in them (2016) and then a s*** show afterwards.

If you think it's bad here after this season--imagine how bad Baltimore is going to be after this season. Machado's 2 years from free agency and their ownership isn't going to spend to keep Trumbo and Wieters, and may actually have to deal Tillman and/or Britton due to their escalating salaries and that awful Chris Davis deal.. and that team has imploded itself, struggling to hold off the Yanks (1 game up now) and tied with the Tigers. And with a poor farm system, the future is bleak for the O's... and after 2017 could get really ugly (Tillman's a free agent, as is Hardy, Miley and Gallardo..)

I really don't give a s*** about the O's if the future of the Jays is in question.
CBlake Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 So is someone going to be stupid enough out there and give Joey at least 3 year deal for at least 75M, maybe a couple bucks more?

At least the Jays rotation will be basically intact next year--it's trying to resign EE/Bautista/Saunders or finiding equivalents that's the issue, along with supplementing the pen. The reason I mentioned the O's was to show their team has a bleaker future than what you say about Toronto.

He's asking "YOU" to shut up, it's nowhere near what few of us worry about in the year of 16'. The off season awaits.

CBlake Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 What will a sold out Rogers be like during the final home series vs the Os if they are totally out of it by then? No way in hell do I wish this , have basically one big hold on my credit card for playoff tickets right now.
