KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 What I find funny is the team just can't hit.....yet Pompey still can't get 1 start! Pompey can't hit either.
Blue Jays Molly Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Can David Ortiz retire like yesterday? So sick of hearing about this. f*** that guy. I agree with this. I don't understand these farewell tours. Why should anyone but Red Sox fans be "honouring" this guy?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 What an amazing game from Stroman. Syndergaardesque!!!
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Anyone else feel really down by all this? I know it's just a sport I wish it didn't effect me so strongly It's affected me because I've been betting on the team against some seemingly very winnable match-ups and they keep playing like crap and costing me money. The problem is primarily their age. They've just gotten through the dog-days of summer and these aging sluggers have no spark left in their bats. They all look flat and their bats are slow. BJ Uptons been the biggest disaster... Guy hasn't been an upgrade at all. The fact that there's hardly any left handed bats in the lineup is a big problem too. Jays will face all these scrub righties and just get completely ate up. This wouldn't happen if they were lefties.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Pompey can't hit either. Have u seen him in the majors in a year and 3/4ths?

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Stroman really pitched well. Hung one pitch to Castro but besides that he was amazing. Its a shame the bats have done nothing.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 How many times can we say the offense has let the team down this season Wake the f*** up man
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 This by far is the best and strongest line up we could possibly have. 💪💪💪
y2j44 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Anyone who doesnt believe Gibbons needs to be fired is dreadfully lost. A man who's biggest compliment as a manger is that "he didnt lose the game for the jays" how bout a major league manager that helps to win games. How bout a manager who wasnt sitting at home begging to be hired as a waterboy by AA and was shocked when offered a mangerial position. What a total waste of an all star team on paper. Explain to me...If Gibbons was even below average why was he siting at home with no job. Why has he never managed another club? What would Cleveland's record be with Gibbons managing a team with a tenth of the talent of the jays. What if the Jays had Francona? This feels much like another sinking ship. Who will be writing on the board this time?
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Stroman really pitched well. Hung one pitch to Castro but besides that he was amazing. Its a shame the bats have done nothing. Yep I don't blame Stro at all. He got BABIP'd a bit but it happens. The offensive display against this scrub deserves all the blame.

Its a shame the bats have done nothing. It feels like that the hitting of this team has collapsed overnight Kind of like Burly pitching last year
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Have u seen him in the majors in a year and 3/4ths? So he's suddenly going to hit after a craptacular minor league season? All Pompey can do at the plate is draw walks. He doesn't hit much at all.

ChrisS Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Stroman really pitched well. Hung one pitch to Castro but besides that he was amazing. Its a shame the bats have done nothing. Agree can't ask for much more, 2 runs gives any competent offence a chance to win. He has had a little bit of bad babip too
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 OK, now score FFS. Travis on 2nd with 0 outs. No excuses.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Hnnnggg In 3 of Syndergaard last 6 games he hasn't gone 6 innings and struck put less than 8...vs AZ twice and Cinci....just saying. It's a great game so far from Stroman. 8 Ks and only 2 runs given up.
43211234 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 2016 Stroman getting wrecked by BABIP and HR/FB yet again.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Atta boy Travis! Let's hope Severino comes in looking a little flat. We really need the big 3 to come up here and last get the 1 run in.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 OK, now score FFS. Travis on 2nd with 0 outs. No excuses. Definitely. Donaldson, EE and Bautista. If they can't score on this, lol

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Great AB from Travis
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Alright leadoff double with the 3 big bats up. Need to compose themselves and put up quality AB's.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Severino's been awful this year, please don't make him look like Pedro.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Severino has been hit around all year. Would anyone be shocked with 2 scoreless and 5K's. That's where we're at.
