o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 still can't believe Pillar swung at every pitch that AB, even the one at his eyeballs, and took strike 3 right down the middle Pillar was clearly caught up in hero mode... sad. he had some really good AB earlier in the game. heart breaking loss, but still just one loss. need to get back to winning ways.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Alright g'night. I need a shower. I hope to get showered with a Padres victory

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I didn't take in that Boston keeps Ortiz on the bench for inter league games until now.... No wonder Boston only scored once yesterday

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Are you new? Pillar does that every game. Completely overrated player. He is in the lineup primarily for his defence in centre and he had 3 hits today anyway. Don't be a moron.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 I'm still hurting over that 0-2 fastball down the middle to Castro.
Caleb Humphreys Verified Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 wash the smell of the loss away You realize the posts between me and Bronson were in jest? Stop trying to be a f***ing hero.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I'm still hurting over that 0-2 fastball down the middle to Castro. In hindsight a single and homer followed so it didn't really hurt as much as the medium depth OF

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 This will be the closest division finish that I've ever seen.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Pray for a 10 game win streak.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 So we have defence only player in CF, than why not play Goins regularly as well? Because Travis and Barney are better players?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Pray for a 10 game win streak. For now let's pray San Diego takes this gane
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 So we have defence only player in CF, than why not play Goins regularly as well? Pillar isn't a complete waste with the bat like Goins is. Goins can't even hit his weight and he doesn't weight that much. Also, Pillar's defense in CF is much much better than Goins' defense in the infield.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 For now let's pray San Diego takes this gane Threatening to score some runs here in the 3rd.
mikebel111 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Because Travis and Barney are better players? Well Upton is a better player as well, why not play him more regularly over Pillar?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Pray for a 10 game win streak. Need to pick up a win tomorrow and then it's road games against weak or mediocre teams or home games all the way until the final 3 games of the season. Sox seem to have a tougher schedule after Wednesday.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Someone is asking why we're keeping a CF who has put up nearly 40 Def WAR the past two years in the lineup.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Well Upton is a better player as well, why not play him more regularly over Pillar? Now you're just trolling and/or whining.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Smoak's not going to get much playing time after that lousy performance.. and Grilli just had a bad night. Yanks just won't give up.. and the way the sked looks, the race is going to get even tighter. Toronto's not the only team that needs to worry--Boston has been struggling just as badly. And that team is more of a risk of a collapse.. the team's offense has been dead the last 2 games (and tonight's game so far as well.), don't play well vs. the East, and plays the Jays, O's and Yankees heavily after San Diego..
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Threatening to score some runs here in the 3rd. Stupid Dickerson x2!!!!
