As this series is showing there is no guarantee jays will do well against the poorer teams. It looks to me the jays are cooling off at the wrong time

Lmao what? They swept the Twins and then beat the Orioles in Camden Yards. I'll just be glad when they get out of the hellhole in Tampa where nothing good happens.

Pretty plain and simple question. Now that the division is tied (can't see Red Sox losing tonight TBH).

Let's get a consensus here. Do you think we will win the division?

The way I see it....

Red Sox hitting is better than the Blue Jays, let's be honest about this one

Red Sox starting pitching is better than the Blue Jays, because of the addition of Pomeranz and regression of our staff

Red Sox bullpen is slightly worse than the Blue Jays

Neither team has any significant injuries at this time.

Blue Jays remaining schedule:

-13 home games, 14 away games

-5 games vs s***** teams (Angels (4) and Rays (1))

-Equal number of home/away games vs Red Sox (6)

Red Sox remaining schedule:

-10 home games, 17 away games

-4 games vs s***** teams (Padres (3) and Athletics (1))

-3 game vs Blue Jays away, 3 games vs Blue Jays away

-Equal number of home/away games vs Blue Jays (6)

Definitely like our schedule better so I say this is going to be a tight finish but who knows.

Sure, why not, f*** face!

By the way, don't be homers and vote 'yes' without any logical reasoning...

Right, because logically thinking our team is the best, is faux pas?!

We'll lose the division, the wildcard game, and somehow Gibbons will keep his job for another year regardless.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox will pull another fluke championship out of their ass and we'll all have to put up with smug Boston fans for another year.

It's ALIVE!!!

If you asked two days ago it would have been 90% yes. Today, probably not.

Red Sox have a good team. I said a month or two ago I could see them winning a WS in the next couple years. I wouldn't be shocked if they did it this year.

When your manager puts Travis in the #9 spot, Navarro as DH, and is terrible with the BP, who knows what place we'll end up.

Agreed, they also have to beat their manager every game as he mis-manages everything. Gibbons is a great guy but he should not be steering the ship day to day. He would be a hell of a bench coach.

God we lose 2 games and you guys get your panties in a twist. Tied for first place in the division, it's f***ing September, you can believe in your team now.

Boston is a better younger team, and I think the attitude reflects that. There is a feeling this is the last year... players will age another year, Bautista/EE and even Saunders may be gone next year.

If Jays had a young core like Betts/Bogartz/Bradley and 2 top 10 prospects, like Boston does, I can tell you the attitude would be different.

team a) old, perception they are about to "Philly", very sad to see the (potential) end, not only of this year, but for 5 years.

team B) young (historic?) core, chill, get em this year, or next year, or any of the next 5 years.

And the next 5 years has nothing to do with believing your first place team can win the next 4 weeks which this thread is about.

We'll win the East--we still have games against bad teams in Seattle(2-8 in last 10 and pretty much out of the race) and LA, plus we dominate the Yankees, who are starving for offense right now.. and we've done well vs. the O's at home.

Boston's the real test--but remember, the pitching issues are still there. Don't let a crappy Oakland team fool anyone--the Sox need to pitch well against contenders if they have any shot of winning the East or even making the playoffs. That bullpen is still a problem.

LOL at anyone still defending our dumb hick manager. Putting that clown in charge of this core is like putting an 8-year-old behind the wheel of a Maserati.

I'll take our deep veteran lineup this post season, thanks

Jays played two s***** games and lost. So what.

Red Sxo won twice against a crappy team

Holy f*** man. Calm down. Yeah, I wish we were still 1-2 games up. But yes we can win the division.

Red Sox Manager is much worse...

Our probability of winning the division has slipped ~22% in the last 2 days. Next weekends series is going to be huge. After it the Red Sox have an 11 game stand including 7 against the O's, 4 of which are at Camden.

In time 14 of you nonbelievers are going to be shamed hard.

Crazy what a difference a single win can make. NOs were leading yesterday.
