Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Any of you STH want to sell me 2 tickets to the Jays vs. TB game on September 14th? It's a day game and my son wants to take me to it for my birthday.....msg me if interested.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Don't the Blue Jays offer a payment plan if you renew? For example, with the Raptors payments are around $900 per month starting in April for my seats, and then the last two payments are around $450. For postseason tickets, its ridiculous that they charge you for every game & every series up front. Shocked they don't do it on a pay-as-you-go, game-to-game basis like the Raps do. You'll get your money back on games not played, but sucks taking up a huge balance on your credit card. Yeah I think they do have a payment plan but for my infield seats you save over $300 per ticket if you pay by September 8 compared to after Sep 30. I might have been wrong about the Postseason as it looks like there are 3 payment dates Sept 30, Oct 11 and Oct 21. But the real scam is you have to tell them you want your money back or else they just treat it as a credit on your account.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 All depends on when you sold them. If you sold them right after they sold out on the public on sale you probably made a good amount of money. If you waited until the day before you could have lost money. Exactly right Prices fluctuate wildly

It is based on when you commit to renew, not paying in full. I suspect there will be a separate pay in full incentive like there was this past year. In 2016 if you paid in full by some date they chose in December they gave a $200 credit toward concessions. It was great for people like me in the 500 level (almost a 10% rebate) but probably not worth it for those with more expensive seats as far as a return on your money was concerned.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Exactly right Prices fluctuate wildly Also if you have 4 tickets for every game and only attend 1 game, of course you're going to make a ton of money.
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Anyone heard anything on playoff tickets? Looking at some old emails it looks like I bought my first pair on Sept 8 last year.

Have no heard anything, others than if you buy 2017 season tickets right now you get access to 2016 playoff tickets. Based on everything I would be very surprised if flex pack holders get anything more than access to a presale for single game tickets.

Trap them now before rogers cheaps out, lets bats and e5 walk while signing rajai, Seth smith and Jeremy hellickson.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I am in Thailand right now with spotty wi-fi, this will be a fun shitshow next week to buy these! I think I am going to buy just World Series tickets though since I will be in Europe during the ALDS and ALCS.

CBlake Verified Member Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Got the email today for the flex pack holders today, as I thought you will not be able to buy full playoff packages ie strips. It will be starting next Wednesday morning for two days and you will be able to buy any combinations of up to 12 tickets, ie 2 tickets to 6 games or 12 to one, whatever you want.

So people that bought 10 game flex packs will have the opportunity to buy the same number of games as 40 game flex pack holders? I just purchased 2017 Season tickets last week, lucked out after 531 row 6 seats popped up out of nowhere, I only had a choice of post season tickets in 500 lvl row 21 behind home plate or row 15+ in 500 lvl outfield. I will likely sell them and use the profit towards 100 lvl post seasons. I hope doing this was a good hedge because in the event the Jays make the World Series even 500 lvl tickets are going to be going for several hundred dollars likely.
CBlake Verified Member Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Yes, flex holders regardless if they bought 40 games, 10 games, have had them one year or five years can buy up to 12 tickets in total. I guess they did not want to go through the chore/hassle of tiers when it came to flex pack holders. LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I received the email as well. Was looking forward to a strip but this will be fine too I suppose. Hopefully there are still some good seats left
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I called the ticket office this morning and they told me I didn't receive the email because I have a hotmail address. I've received all email correspondence from mybluejays to my hotmail address for the last 2 years without issue. He says if I change it I should receive the code on Wednesday morning. I have 0 faith in this.

You were a very gracious seller before. I hope the ladyboi's don't catch you!
Johnnyvee Verified Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 How the hell are people on Stubhub selling ALDS tickets in multiples of 10??? There are listings primarily in the 200 bases and outfield 1st rows where you can purchase the entire 10 seat row section. Wtf??

I suspect they made a killing this year...and probably several thousand per playoff game.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 So for the flex pack thing tomorrow do you just buy per single game or is it a strip like last year?
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 So for the flex pack thing tomorrow do you just buy per single game or is it a strip like last year? No strips. You can buy 12 tickets total in any combination to any of the post season games.
