intrigid Verified Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Not the worst idea. If he got it down the 3rd base line, would likely have been a hit. And it might pay dividends in future ABs.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Really, really stupid by Josh. What the hell.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 He did that last year too. I think he bunted without a base runner last year lol

And it might pay dividends in future ABs. The best hitter on the team gave himself up to put a RISP in better SP. Then he didn't even run down the line. A complete waste after Fiers hadn't shown himself to be unhittable. And then EE goes down without a fight. A complete squander.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 This team is beyond bad offensively with a runner at 3rd... a freaking gb scores a run and once again we K without swinging.

Still terrible imo, when your two best hitters have a fast runner in scoring position swing away and as long as you put the ball in play you'll probably get the same result anyway.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Suck it Tulo haters.
intrigid Verified Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Turns out the bunt wasn't so unproductive after all.

Agreed. Fiers is throwing meatballs but Josh played him like he was facing Jake Arrieta or something.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Really, really stupid by Josh. What the hell. It's smart. Really stupid AB from Edwin ruined it. Great Job Tulo!!!!!
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Turns out the bunt wasn't so unproductive after all. It was completely unproductive. Wtf are you talking about
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 What a fail of an inning. After a lead off double JD sac bunts and EE and Russell K looking. Swing the bats and just trash Fiers. Talk about overthinking s***.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Atleast Tulo came through. We could have easily got nothing.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 It's smart. Really stupid AB from Edwin ruined it. Great Job Tulo!!!!! It's smart for the team's best player to concede his AB so Travis doesn't have to run as hard to score on a simple single? And against a shitballer no less?
intrigid Verified Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 It was completely unproductive. Wtf are you talking about Had he popped/flied/struckout the score would still be 0-0.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 What a fail of an inning. After a lead off double JD sac bunts and EE and Russell K looking. Swing the bats and just trash Fiers. Talk about overthinking s***. You're not wrong. You should take advantage of facing meatball pitchers like Fiers, not try to work the count and get them out of the game quicker lol. Their approach is too copy and paste.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Stroman is not pitching well. Pitching like trash
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Had he popped/flied/struckout the score would still be 0-0. Anybody can pop out. Not just anybody has a ~1.000 OPS.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Well, if you're gonna stand there like an idiot and not at least try to get out of the way, that's what you get lol.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Very little control today for Stroman.

Coaching is a problem as well not all of it but some of it is coaching
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Now we could use a groundball Stroman. Otherwise pitch to swing and miss.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Had he popped/flied/struckout the score would still be 0-0. Wat. Travis would have scored from second on the Tulo single
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 f***ing Stroman. HOLD THE BALL second time
