Not the worst idea. If he got it down the 3rd base line, would likely have been a hit. And it might pay dividends in future ABs.

The best hitter on the team gave himself up to put a RISP in better SP. Then he didn't even run down the line. A complete waste after Fiers hadn't shown himself to be unhittable.

And then EE goes down without a fight. A complete squander.

Still terrible imo, when your two best hitters have a fast runner in scoring position swing away and as long as you put the ball in play you'll probably get the same result anyway.

Agreed. Fiers is throwing meatballs but Josh played him like he was facing Jake Arrieta or something.

It's smart. Really stupid AB from Edwin ruined it.

Great Job Tulo!!!!!

It's smart for the team's best player to concede his AB so Travis doesn't have to run as hard to score on a simple single? And against a shitballer no less?

What a fail of an inning. After a lead off double JD sac bunts and EE and Russell K looking. Swing the bats and just trash Fiers. Talk about overthinking s***.

You're not wrong. You should take advantage of facing meatball pitchers like Fiers, not try to work the count and get them out of the game quicker lol. Their approach is too copy and paste.

Entire approach is wrong.

Coaching is a problem as well not all of it but some of it is coaching
