fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 If the Jays win the divison and Astros don't Donaldson wins the MVP save for any sort of super hot streak starting today to end the season. If Astros win the division then Altuve probably wins unless he falls of some sort of cliff

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Dustin Pedroia won the AL MVP back in 2008, and Jose Altuve is by far having a better season this year.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Trout & Donny didn't exist in 08. Yeah, but Grady Sizemore went 30/30 and was far more valuable.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Trout & Donny didn't exist in 08. Youkilis and Sizemore were pretty good in 08. Not Trout or JD level obviously.

As well, could have made the case for Longoria if he played in 150-160 games that season, especially with Tampa making the postseason for the first time. In 122 games, he posted a 5.6 WAR.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Of course Buck goes right to Edwin and Ortiz because rbi's matter. Funny thing is they probably both have a great shot at winning it.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 If the Astros miss the playoffs Betts takes it.
Plat Verified Member Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Altuve clear front runner right now...Donaldson has hit a wall.
