The SeaWolves will look for the series win on Sunday afternoon against the Fisher Cats at 1:35 p.m. RHP Cory Riordan (4-6, 5.15 ERA) takes the mound for Erie against RHP Jeremy Gabryszwski (6-8, 4.71 ERA). http://i.imgur.com/7AIxse3.png http://i.imgur.com/mfuzyzt.png http://i.imgur.com/Vxx0nFp.png http://i.imgur.com/lSIp251.png http://i.imgur.com/i85leQN.png http://i.imgur.com/S5qfU5l.png http://i.imgur.com/0aCtNWz.png http://i.imgur.com/16aeRcG.png http://i.imgur.com/uVegDrS.png http://i.imgur.com/q9WuoNM.png LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts (20-22, 56-56) ended a four-game losing streak with a 7-4 win over the error-prone Fort Wayne TinCaps (18-24, 54-58) before a crowd of 7,514 on Saturday night at Cooley Law School Stadium. Coupled with a Great Lakes Loons loss to South Bend, the Lugnuts rebuilt their Eastern Division wild card lead to 1.5 games. Entering play, the Nuts had scored over four runs only once in their last 14 games - a Josh DeGraaf start against Fort Wayne on August 1st that resulted in a 10-9 win. Just like on that night, DeGraaf was on the mound. And just like on that night, the Lugnuts' offense was off and roaring early. TinCaps starter Angel Mejia (Loss, 1-3) gave up 11 hits and six runs (five earned) in just 4 2/3 innings, reached for three runs in the first inning, one in the fourth and two more in the fifth. The right-hander was undermined by his defense; catcher Marcus Greene, Jr. committed two passed balls and two run-scoring throwing errors, left fielder Jhonatan Pena was assessed a fielding error, and Mejia himself missed a catch covering at first base. DeGraaf, who had given up six hits and two runs in four innings on August 1st, limited the TinCaps to a nearly identical seven hits and two runs in four innings on this night. He yielded to Tayler Saucedo (Win, 7-9), who gave up two runs (one earned) on two hits in three innings, striking out three. Connor Panas crushed a 414-foot home run on the first pitch of the bottom of the seventh, his team-leading 14th homer of the season. Jackson Lowery (Save, 3) set down the final six batters in perfect fashion, striking out five TinCaps. The Lugnuts' offense was led by a 3-for-4 performance from All-Star Juan Kelly, with Lane Thomas supplying a double, two walks, two runs scored and a stolen base, and Panas, John La Prise and Andrew Guillotte adding a pair of hits apiece. The second game of the four-game series is a special Superheroes Day on a Kids Day presented by Delta Dental, starting at 2:05 p.m.: Play Catch on the Field before the game, and Kids Run the Bases after the game! Lansing sends right-hander Justin Maese (1-1, 3.22) to the mound against Fort Wayne right-hander J.C. Cosme (8-5, 3.61). Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Does Fisk get credited with a CG since Harris was technically the actual starting pitcher?
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Does Fisk get credited with a CG since Harris was technically the actual starting pitcher? It seems so, he has to CG to his credit this season and only pitched 7+ twice.
admin Site Manager Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Did Harris get hurt in warmup? As per the other thread, apparently it was a long rain delay.
