He's been s*** for the most of the year. I never thought he could succeed in the rotation and I still don't. It's too easy to see the ball out of his hand, no deception, no length.

 

He pitched well in 2014 and late 2015/Post season which arguably is about the same sample size as all his bad starts this year. At least a third of his starts have been quality this year and this start was great and you know it too... 6 Ks through 6 with no walks, over 60% GB% with less than 80 pitches thrown, that's pretty freaking good for his first full season, he just hung one pitch with runners on, it happens

The offense is worse than Stroman by far. We have been owned for 2 series in a row and struggle to get 5 hits in a game. Stroman made a bad pitch but the offense aside from Donaldson has looked even worse

I look at the swings hitters take against him and they are so comfortable. They see the ball really well and have more time than with your average pitcher. He just doesn't have what it takes in my opinion, it has nothing to do with this start.
