He's learned to command that hard sinker (and his curve to a greater degree) and it's paying off in spades.

He got bombed in that one start against Oakland. "Blowing" the lead in the ninth going for a CGSO against Detroit too. But that's it, I think. I don't recall either being the result of a complete loss of control though.

After tonight there will be 3 AL pitchers ahead of Sanchez in WAR - Quintana, Kluber, Tanaka

Man I love Grilli, he's so intense, so much emotion. Gives it his all every outing.

 

Me too. He is kinda like when we got Hawkins in the pen, except he can still pitch.
