Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 With the deadline approaching, if we post every trade from every team on this page it will bury Jay's related threads. Maybe pin a 2016 baseball trades thread or move it until a jays related trade happens. We all have mlb trade rumors app and twitter etc. None of us are missing these. For me it's about discussion, not notification.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 The only way the Cubs should even consider that is if they're getting both relievers. Yeah I agree, they should be able to put together a good package for either guy without having to give up a guy like Schwarber.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Yeah I agree, they should be able to put together a good package for either guy without having to give up a guy like Schwarber. The Cubs have lots of good, expendable young players/prospects - Gleyber Torres, Eloy Jimenez, Ian Happ, Almora - there's no need for them to consider shopping Schwarber for a reliever when they could use their other, lower level assets and still land any reliever they want on the trade market.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 ... and now we know the Tellez' trade value. For Will Smith??? That's the guy we need...is that the price?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 For Will Smith??? That's the guy we need...is that the price? He isn't a FA until 2020, yes please.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 For Will Smith??? That's the guy we need...is that the price? It's crazy how many failed starters turn into elite relievers.
