Stroman gtfo. Bring up Hutch. Hutch yesterday 6IP 4H 1BB 10SO. Perfect timing to get him into the rotation in Stroman's spot.

Might be time. Stroman's fastball is lacking. He can still spin the ball like crazy though.

Wouldn't progressive guys like Shapiro or Atkins stomp the "pitch to contact" out of Stroman?

One would think and hope, but they haven't yet.

Didn't the Royals send down Ventura at some point last year and he came back firing on all cylinders for the remaining of the year?

I know, it may have no merit, but somebody like Stroman with his work ethic would just take it as another challenge And def work his way back with maximum effort, hopefully, resulting in a better Stroman overall.

I think we can safely assume that Stroman would strike more people out if he could.

I said kindly?!?!

Fair enough. Lol! I like your optimism, but I'm just pissed off with losing. Losing sucks, and Stroman needs to get his s*** together.

Stroman's been quoted as saying he'd rather be a sinkerball pitcher than strike guys out. And when we watch him toss 0-2/1-2 sinkers over and over again, it's pretty reasonable to draw the conclusion that he chooses not to try.

We watched an inning in this game where he tried to and he looked absolutely dominant, it's all in his approach and pitch selection.

No, that's retarded. Often that's a platitude that pitchers spew when their stuff isn't working right and a lot of balls are being put in play. Stroman is not out there avoiding strikeouts lol.

I heard it after a pitcher threw a no hitter and from a pitcher that lead the AL in Ks (I think) last season. Both are considered the best pitchers in their respective leagues this season.

Maybe, but he's been saying that type of BS for 2 years now. There's a distinct change in his pitch selection/usage, which can actually be tracked in brooksbaseball, when he's striking out a lot of batters in his starts compared to when he's "pitching to contact".

I'm sure you watched him pitch a lot in 2014 and saw the clips of him in the minors, but he truly works like two completely different pitchers, when you compare that guy to 2015/2016 Stroman.

It truly falls in line with the quotes the guy has said since late-2015.
