admin Site Manager Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I'm starting to like Storen/Grilli, look like they could make a great combo out there.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I trust him a lot Biagini's good. 7k/9 4bb/9 4.42 xFIP He's given up 12 hits, 4 walks in his last 6.1 IP (8 outings). If that was anyone else we'd s*** all over them, why does he get rope?

Governator Community Moderator Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 2 of them bb's were IBB'd That's a result of probably giving up a double? Even if we remove those two, 14 base runners in 6 innings from a reliever is not a good reliever. Ateast one that hasn't been good of late.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 If Storen comes around and Grilli recovers, we could be looking at a very good bullpen.
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 What games has he struggled in besides this game and the game in Detroit? Plus he's a Unknown Double A pitcher probably had very little in terms of scouting report. More games in the majors, better reports. Hitters have begun to adjust. The Orioles have some very good hitters -- and they've had his number this year. Rookie's go through phases like this, guys start figuring you out a bit more and you have to learn more about the in-game adjustments, his stuff is good. He hasn't even given up a HR yet. I hope he gets a little rest because Gibby has been using him a lot lately. He will be fine. He's only thrown 2 innings the entire month of June. On top of the two you mentioned he did have that blown save May 27th against Boston. You're also right about making adjustments, but, the trick is Biagini has to make his own adjustments, it's when he proves he's an MLB pitcher or just a flash in the pan. He might be fine.
