thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 The future mrs. Russell Wilson, even hotter. Yeah Ciara is up there for sure.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Aaron Judge--near 30% K rate, 7 HR, OBP under .300.. The K rate is part of the reason he has yet to get a callup. Gary Sanchez--injured and blocked by McCann/Romine. Mason Williams--hurt Jorge Mateo--still a ways off being in A+ ball. Tyler Austin--no longer a prospect Jake Cave--marginal prospect at best Greg Bird--out unil 2017\ Tyler Wade--low power, bottom of the order guy projected Ben Gamel--marginal prospect Basically, the Yankees have no real impact players in the system that'll help right now this year.. Judge and Bird might help next season, and Mateo likely towards later 2017. Otherwise, the Yanks are in for a long rebuild.. Yanks could trade Miller this year for a least 1 prospect and maybe more. You know how teams are about getting pen help at the deadline.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Yanks could trade Miller this year for a least 1 prospect and maybe more. You know how teams are about getting pen help at the deadline. The Yanks have no choice but to trade for prospects/young players.. Beltran's a free agent, Gardner/Ellsbury are in decline, no idea what they'll get from Bird, and A-Rod is useless.. at least they're giving Refsnyder a shot now in a super-utility role (but mostly playing 1B for now--Yanks have nobody in the system that can play 1B full time.), and Hicks hasn't done a thing. What's also concerning is the fact Sabathia and Nova are potential free agents.. and Betances is about to get expensive (he hits arb after this season). Yanks need SP.. but their farm is basically empty of impact pitching prospects after Severino. While they have money to spend--will any free agents want to come to New York, when the club is in serious decline and needing a major rebuild?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 While they have money to spend--will any free agents want to come to New York, when the club is in serious decline and needing a major rebuild? Yes, easily. They'll be able to outbid everyone else and the club is still a draw for most (not all) players.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Yes, easily. They'll be able to outbid everyone else and the club is still a draw for most (not all) players. True--if the Yankees overpay. Please also note that the 2016 crop of free agents is quite bleak--Yanks are probably aiming for 2018 for a spending spree, when Harper and Machado are free agents.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 I got the GDT again today. It's going to be inspired by a former poster on the old board (Boobz). Not sure if he posts here anymore....but the GDT will be a good one. I promise you that. I`ll have it by 5pm

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 People are afraid to make a thread because they know we're getting throated by Fulmer tonight. If you don't know he is yet. You're about to get an education.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So did anyone mention/notice how hard it was raining during the 9th? I just spoke to someone who told me it wasn't that obvious on TV but there was a ton of rain in Boston that day and at that point it was really pouring. That might have played a factor in the performance.
