Heard Moniak is also a possibility.

 

It's too many times I'm hearing it now, there is a link between the two. Last three mocks I read had him going #1 (and signing him for underslot). He likely falls to the Red Sox if the Phillies go pitching.

I wonder if the new front office will continue with the BPA mantra from the previous regime. I always loved the high risk/high reward method.

This seems like the least hyped draft in a while. This is the first year since I'd say 2009 where I didn't know most of the 1st rounders.

 

Kind of just snuck up on us it seems. It would be really nice if we could get some NCAA Baseball on Canadian television. I would enjoy watching some of these bigger games.

I was wondering if this was an unusually quiet amount of draft hype or not. I happen to be a big nerd for any of the drafts in the sports I follow, exciting process. Looking forward to seeing who we pick up tonight!

I remember watching my first draft. I think it was 2005 and I was at the computer lab at university. Watched the Jays draft this scrawney kid named Justin Jackson. Thought he'd be a stud!

Hopefully we find a couple gems. Next years draft we will probably have 3 first round picks a lot more exciting.

that was the same draft we got "future Chipper Jones"

that's the kind of draft that would turn someone off of following the draft

In 2014 and 2015 we had contending teams and I knew a lot about the drafts. I think Kiley leaving Fangraphs has a lot to do with it because ever since he left their prospect coverage has been terrible in terms of producing content.

A white, switch-hitting infielder. That's about all he had in common with Chipper.
