bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Arbitrary save stat loses us another game
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 True but can't blame Gibby, Happ was dominating the Twins' scrub lineup all game long. Then he needed to take him out after the first batter got on...not waited until he had given up 3 runners and 2 runs
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Seriously why the f*** has he not learned to be an ace bunter why the f*** is he swinging away Why why why
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Worst loss of the season. I'd say the Home Opener and the last game against Texas were WAY worse
nextyear Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 That's the way it goes. If the Blue Jays lose tomorrow then they have little hope for a good 2016. If the Blue Jays are out of it by the end of May then they can bring Pompey up to drum up some fan interest. And Travis will be back, that might give fans a reason to watch games.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Then he needed to take him out after the first batter got on...not waited until he had given up 3 runners and 2 runs Gibby is by far one of the worst at picking the right time to take out the starter By far

This team isn't even close to being "out of it". Jesus

Good news is Jose is hitting well and Dickey is pitching well. These are assets that must be converted into prime prospects
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 This team isn't even close to being "out of it". Jesus Losing 2 games to a team who only had 10....that would pretty much signal the end is getting close
nextyear Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Seriously why the f*** has he not learned to be an ace bunter why the f*** is he swinging away Why why why That was the perfect time to bunt.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I wouldn't be against using Osuna in that situation but you would think we could get atleast one other effective reliever. I mean even give Biagini a try. I'd still say bring in your best guy in a jam. If you trust Floyd or Biagini to wriggle out of trouble then why not in a clean ninth? But I agree that at least one of these guys should be capable of getting an important out once in a while.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Then he needed to take him out after the first batter got on...not waited until he had given up 3 runners and 2 runs I agree
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 The offense is bad but the pen is literally aids. How many inherited runners did they cash in? And how many leads did they blow? Jesus Christ.
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 #BlueJays are the first AL team to start a season 0-20 when allowing 4 or more runs since....the #BlueJays in 1981
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Jays have to go 69-48 the rest of the way to win 90 games, a .590 winning percentage team is done
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I think i'll skip the game tomorrow im sure Stroman will be pitching to contact anyway.

It's mind boggling that closers aren't used in these types of situations more often. If Floyd can be trusted with two on in a tie game in the bottom of the eighth, then he can start a fresh ninth, regardless of the score. So much stupidity with Gibby.
