Good for him. I enjoyed it. But look at what it took for him to get there. Irresponsible decisions for 6 years eventually led to him dismantling the only good thing he ever built (farm system) and put us back for years to come. Then he dipped just in time.

Donaldson is 30 with two years of control left after this season before he's a FA.

 

Stroman looks good, Sanchez (if he keeps this up) looks like a good MLB starter, Travis looked good last season, and Osuna is a good reliever who hasn't thrown more than 75 innings in a season.

 

A lot of work needs to be done. AA left this team with one year of contention left and then a dumpster fire. Don't get it twisted.
