Most of you dont remember what 1994-2013 was like. You are either too young, or didn't follow religiously enough. Some of us actually watched 20 years of absolutely meaningless baseball.

 

During those years, we didn't even hope to compete,

 

A real fan knows the true value of what 2015 was. If you have been through a desert, then you truly appreciate rain, even if it only rains for a day. you are grateful for it.

 

Except if not for all of his irresponsible moves, we would have gotten there and enjoyed great baseball, not just for 2 months

Donaldson is 30 with two years of control left after this season before he's a FA.

 

Stroman looks good, Sanchez (if he keeps this up) looks like a good MLB starter, Travis looked good last season, and Osuna is a good reliever who hasn't thrown more than 75 innings in a season.

 

A lot of work needs to be done. AA left this team with one year of contention left and then a dumpster fire. Don't get it twisted.

 

I never said AA did a good job...imo it was terrible in the end. But we have some things to look forward to. I think we can compete this year and going forward but it will take a bit of work to get some nice pieces to go with what we have.

Yeah, you know that for sure. Once Ace Pitcher would have gotten you into contendership year after year.

I remember when AA took over, they had a roundtable with Mccowan Brunt and others. There was serious talk of this being the last chance Jays had to turn it around, things were really bad. Ratings were down to 100-200K no one cared about baseball in Toronto

 

AA saved the Jays, and this is the thanks he gets. What a world we live in.

 

Go Suck Shapiro's dick. Lets see where he gets us, give him 6 years there wont be playoff baseball in Toronto. You know why? He doesn't know how. He just talks good.
