o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 nothing better than the pissed off version of Jose hitting.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 nothing better than the pissed off version of Jose hitting. If only he could get pissed off everyday of the MLB season.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Jose may not be a fighter but he sure is a ballplayer!
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Smoak not looking good in this at-bat.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 A lot like old Smoak there. 3 swinging strikes.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 When i see Smoak's swing and pitch selection, it makes me wonder how the f*** he's put up the numbers he has so far. His BABIP has to be really high.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 That wasn't a good AB. Especially after a 4 pitch walk.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Nice idea Tulo and BABIP Gods shined on you for it.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 A lot like old Smoak there. 3 swinging strikes. I didn't mind it. He was guessing FB first pitch ...and on the others he had good rips and just couldn't catch up. JD missed a 95 MPH center cut FB in his AB before the pop up. I like that they are ripping at them.

His BABIP has to be really high. Yeah it's ridiculously high but his LD% and Hard% are both really high as well so he has earned it.

I mean, I'd rather see them swinging at strikes instead of watching meatballs, but the patient/selective approach seemed to actually be working a lot for Smoak this season, and that looked very different.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 What a bomb by JB. Man I am going to miss him if he walks in November.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Stro's release point looks off so far tonight.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Throw a curve or high 4SM and you got him.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Throw a curve or high 4SM and you got him. Yup, he threw him a curve there (not a very good one) and had him out front a little bit.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 BABIP ground ball, just as you requested Stro.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I do love it when the shift f***s teams over, it is a stupid thing in the game now.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Can we please stop pitching to contact Stro?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Pat's right there. Why would you pitch away from the shift?
