Legitimate question. If you forfeit a game you lose 9-0. Shouldn't we just forfeit, lower our ERA and save the bullpen? I mean the league and fans would hate us sure, but really, the pros might outweigh the cons.

I partially blame Gibbons. He saw how angry Bautista was and could have replaced him with a pinch runner to try for the win. But we know from last year that Gibbons doesn't mind throwing games away.

 

Now is the time for a manager change. Everyone including the fans are down. If they do it now it might turn things around.
