I just saw Jarrett Parker at the Sacramento River Cats game on Friday, and he hit a pretty big bomb. I guess he got called up.

 

Could tell he was out of his league. Didn't have a chance up there.

Glad the team got this one with Madbum tomorrow. He's a toughie regardless of how hot or cold the hitters are.

 

I'll still take the Jays tomorrow though. Stroman's not Madbum, but after seeing these Giants hitters this series it probably doesn't matter. Probably the most anemic offense we've seen so far this year.

I find this show oddly addictive. Haven't seen the last season yet, but it's a pretty good show.

At the game on Sat, fan in front of me looks back and says "whose that guy we got coming back in the minors?". I said "Travis". He says "we got him, Barney and Goins so why don't we put this guy Tulo on the trading block"....he is useless".

 

Then there was the awkward moment of me trying to leave that convo without answering and getting watching back to the gm.

The last season is very weak. Then again I didn't find the show that great overall. The first season and the first Christmas special were good. The rest got on my nerves a lot. Lots of characters talking about change but the plot mostly put ups red herrings that hint at change before finding a way to keep the characters in the same place (unless the actors flat out leave the show).

Maggie Smith is the best character on the show. Her upper class snobbery and sense of humour is great.

My favourite was when I heard some drunks giving Reyes a hard time and he shouldn't be a lead off batter (This was 2 years ago). I turned to my wife and said loudly, watch Reyes here he's going to get things started with a shot to right center for a double (He was on fire that week), just watch. BOOM, it f***ing happened and then everyone around me turned and looked at me like God.

Not sure what it is. When my wife first started watching, I figured I would just play around on my phone and sort of half pay attention, but in the first episode they start talking about some dude lost at sea and I started paying attention.

Season is kind of slow to get started and most of the storylines just aren't very compelling. Gets better around the middle end. The penultimate episode is strong, better than the finale.
