Cyborg Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutchison is so f***ing slow to the plate, people are unfairly blaming Thole Ya it is mainly Hutch's fault. When Yonder Alonso can steal off you it's not a good sign.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutchison is so f***ing slow to the plate, people are unfairly blaming Thole Yeah man, they're stealing off Hutch.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutchison is so f***ing slow to the plate, people are unfairly blaming Thole He is. But those throws have been rainbows and not in a good location on the bag.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 What's wrong with Martin today? Neck.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Ya blame hutch for that Derp throw. Hutch is so slow to the plate that its easy for guys to steal off him. Martin is so good that it masked it.
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Thole. FFS. Thole f***ing blows Lol Thole blows so much I have a better arm than Thole. Just bad. easy stolen bases against Thole, every singles are doubles You guys do know that it's the pitcher that matters more when it comes to preventing stolen bases? Hutch is just too damn slow to the plate and he doesn't have a good pickoff move that holds runners close to the plate. Think about why Dickey is so good at preventing SB's when pitching to the same catcher

TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Tholes first caught stealing ever he led the majors in CS% (44%) his rookie year.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutch is so slow to the plate that its easy for guys to steal off him. Martin is so good that it masked it. That doesn't change that fact that Thole has almost thrown into CF twice in a row.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 What happened with Martin today?
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 he led the majors in CS% (44%) his rookie year. He's been pretty bad since he's been here

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Nice that Barney got a hit to get the Thole AB out of the way. With the top of the order up next they should be able to get something going. This pitcher looks terrible.
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 R. A Dickey has one of the lowest stolen bases allowed rates in baseball history and he mostly pitches to Thole. I'll let you guys figure why Hutch oth struggles with the same catcher
el duque Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 too many fast balls in the middle
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 There is the good slider.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Nice strikeout there but I truly hate Hutch working in the middle of the strikezone, it's so damn risky.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutch is an enigma. He can have such good stuff.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Too many strikeouts for Pete walkers liking
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutch is an enigma. He can have such good stuff. Sure but tossing fastballs in the middle of the strikezone is too damn risky to avoid being crushed at any moment.
Praxis Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Josh Thole is 38 out of 40 active catchers in CS % at 24%. http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/caught_stealing_perc_active.shtml
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutch is an enigma. He can have such good stuff. He's fine when he doesn't have runners on base, everything falls apart when someone gets on. He's one of the clear exceptions to DIPS in baseball

When I played in College guys were throwing 86mph with some junk too, I wonder how much harder a 96mph pitch is if you knew it was coming, maybe 1 out of 10 times I could hit it.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Barney is a good bench guy. Catch the ball at 2B, 3B, SS, and hit the ball better than a pitcher (Pitcher bat > Goins)
