I really wish these guys would just man up and admit their mistakes.

 

If Cola really did knowingly take it, it looks especially horrible since Bautista and Donaldson just called out PED users a couple of days ago. No way you can look at your teammates again after that.

Certainly feel awful for Colabello. Part of me wants to believe him but too many guys have cried wolf before him.

 

I would also bang the s*** out of Jackie Redmond.

The pills are massive, I have a close friend that used them when he did his cycle, there's no way that he wasn't aware of what he was taking in my opinion.

 

no one eats steriods, and if they do they are retarded. Injection is the only way to go (as it only passes through your liver once, as opposed to twice through ingestion)

O.K. So I missed the big hulabaloo and I'm just getting caught up to this thread. Just a word about some of the comments about broadcasters. We all know this board isn't above discussing looks. I'm pretty sure the thread ranking the looks of the Blue Jays was the most popular of the off-season so I'm not going to be a hypocrite and impose a sexual double standard here but I would ask to maybe curb some of the more lecherous and crude comments. They do attract complains from other posters who just want to talk baseball. It's not a big deal every now and then but when it's constant it gets old very quick which is why Gbill finally got banned by one of the mods.

I'm aware of that. I never said he took them orally, I said that he's aware of what he was taking. The pills are gigantic, they're like an inch and a quarter long, someone who is using them is fully aware that they're using them.

 

I've been around steroids far too much in my life. I was friends and played football with the guy that provided steroids to the UW football team and a lot of the friends I used to lift with all used as well.

Its not fair to be spreading rumors about people either, just seems pretty low. Pretty sure Bryan Burke went after the guys spreading rumors about him and Hazel Mae on the internet a few years ago.

If he really used PED's then I can't feel bad for him. He got his 15 minutes of fame and $500,000 last year and now he can probably play in Korea eventually for $1 million as he could have last year.

Not sure if he intentionally cheated or not, but the odds suggest he probably did. Regardless, I feel bad for the guy. His opportunities were already pretty limited, and this coupled with his bad starts, probably sinks his chances. So, he maybe takes home $300,000 total in his entire MLB career, when he came so close to really cashing in.

 

I'm a lot more sympathetic to a fringe guy taking steroids to stay in the game. It's the difference between $1,000,000 a year and $12/hour.

It's the guys like Braun, and Bonds that I don't get. They're already good players, but they need to cheat to be the best.

Interesting (and saddening) read. Article was from two years ago but I doubt much has changed. If this is what happened to Cola then it really, really sucks. If it really was a supplement than Cola should at least name the product if only as a warning to others.

 

He's probably taking multiple supplements so it'd be tough to find out. I mean the only thing he could do to try and clear his name would be to test all of his supplements and see if they were laced. But it seems like its too late for that.
