Nah, the 12 year olds think the only way to be a stud pitcher is to strike out 12 or 13 every game. That's the only road to success didn't ya know? Must be some pretty sticky posters of King Felix, Sale and a few other guys on the some of these closet queens walls.

 

Look at the 10 top pitchers last season in the majors and then look at their strikeout totals and innings pitched. You will notice that both of high showing that there is no correlation between innings pitched and strikeouts.
