Anyone interested in running the twitter account for the forum? I need someone that's consistent and doesn't quit in a week. I just figured the forum is pretty big we might as well use the twitter account for the site.

Please post below or message me.

Juicmin, do you profit from having more users? I would like that. I just don't see what's in this for you, like in general.

Didn't you read vanland's posts on the old forum? He ran a multi-year scheme including puppet accounts like DJ Blu Ray and the dogg to turn people off to the old forum so that he could present this forum as a solution and make fat stacks off the few hundred unique visitors he gets every day.

Vanland and Ju1ced\Admin don't get along, IIRC.

But is that story actually true? I can't believe someone has that much time on their hands

I first read this thread title as:

"BJMB Twitter account, looking for someone to RUIN it."

and a bunch of names popped into my head.

Vanland is just upset because his hatred of Ju1ced keeps him from coming here but the old board where he remains is a wasteland that's lost its good posters.

In the right hands that could easily turn into a creepy cyber-stalking account.

The allegations are real, but I don't imagine that there's much truth to them.

Why not? Dogg trolled that forum for years with random other trolls popping up here and there(prob the dogg aswell). The second someone suggested a new forum all of a sudden there were 30 different troll accounts.

The more people that come to this site the more profit for Juiced. It's really not that hard to believe..

And what profit would that be? There's no membership fee.

Well more traffic would mean more potential ad clicks, but I just figured we have this large forum and no twitter presence, might as well get the account active again.

My goal from day one was to make this one of the biggest Jays sites. Not to make money, but just for somewhere for people to go and talk Jays other than that old piece of crap. I put up ads to cover some costs. Think it made a dollar today when I checked. The server I use for this site is close to $100/month. This site uses a shitload of bandwidth.

Anyways, someone did it a while ago, maybe Hurley, but then they stopped. I remember a couple other guys were interested in doing it. it's really not a big deal, but I figured if someone wanted to do it and enjoyed it why not.

It's true. And I continue to post under the dogg, and recently created a djbluray account and then proceeded to ban it. The long con.

I don't even remember what happened. Me and Vanland disgreed on some things I think. I think it originally started with working out. We had a shirt off picture posedown, and I won because I looked amazing lol, and I think he was butt hurt ever since. But I couldn't care less, but after that we got along for a bit. I even added him on facebook, and I probably have a total of three members from here on FB, so I don't just add anyone. He actually seemed like an okay guy and was pretty knowledgeable about working out. As I was writing this I remember, someone had a multi account and kept bashing Vanland and he thought for sure it was me. I remember telling him believe it or not, some people just didn't like him lol. Then he went right off the deepend and said every troll account was me. Even that ginger from Saskatchewan, can't remember his name, I'm sure he's still around... but he said that was me too. ANd said my facebook was fake, even with several hundred friends, posts, pictures, etc. Got really weird, I couldn't believe it, because he seemed like an okay guy. Just went right nutso.

King should do it for the summer and then put social media intern on his resume. Schools will love it!

I'm not exactly sure on how to make money off of Message Boards but you can and people do.

If I had to guess how it went was he made the message board and it struggled at the beginning. Donations were used to keep the board running at first and juice's own money. Since the Jays made the playoffs last year more casuals are into the Jays thus meaning there going to go somewhere to find info. The first message board to pop up now? BJMB it is. With high traffic to this site and growing by the day it's easier to sell advertising space hence the advertisement above.

With how many posters off the old board and how frequently we all posted it was only a matter of time before the board took off. Juice said on the old board he makes money off of the internet you really don't think he did this out of the kindness of his heart do you? lol

Again I don't use the web to make money so I don't know but I suspect Vanland wasn't entirely wrong.

It's not a question of IF he could make money on ad clicks, it's a question of how much.

$50/mo?

$100?

more?

Just curious

Making real money off a board these days is pretty tough though there are a couple of ways this site could maximize revenue but requires much more than a forum.

If there was any intentions of doing it for the money I would have put ads up long ago. As I mentioned in my last post I pay almost $100/month in server costs. I think we've been up for three years now. That's $3000 in costs. I have a couple other sites on this server so it's not a big deal, but this site takes up 95% of the resources. This site uses several gigs of bandwidth a day. My other sites combined don't use that in a month.

Probably $50-$100 is my guess. I'm trying to keep it simple, and just playing around a bit. I have adblocker on FF but on Chrome I don't, and when I visit sites on there, ads all over the place drive me insane. So I don't want that. There's not much money in it. People don't really click ads anymore, and there's not a ton of relevant businesses/ads that people will click.

I'd do it, I'm the right man for the job. Pm me the password.

King, what's your twitter handle?

Yeah I figured that there wouldn't really be any profit. If it covers server costs though, that's good.
