Vanland is just upset because his hatred of Ju1ced keeps him from coming here but the old board where he remains is a wasteland that's lost its good posters.

He posts in OT, bruh.

I'd do it, I'm the right man for the job. Pm me the password.

If King handles the BJMB twitter it should be fun to follow when he gets banned over and over again.

Those days are over. o2s my homeboy now, he won't ban me again.

Ah, well. I guess we could always get Hurl to ban you.

Nah Hurls my other homeboy. I'm tight with the mods now doubt you'll see me banned ever again.

So should I assume my initial offer to run it was turned down

Me too. We should start our own twitter account and run it together.

Probably $50-$100 is my guess. I'm trying to keep it simple, and just playing around a bit. I have adblocker on FF but on Chrome I don't, and when I visit sites on there, ads all over the place drive me insane. So I don't want that. There's not much money in it. People don't really click ads anymore, and there's not a ton of relevant businesses/ads that people will click.

You have a site here that's focused in terms of interest and geography, so you can do a lot better than Adsense if you're serious about making more money.

1. Amazon affiliate and sprinkle Jays memorabilia links around. It's pretty easy to do and the commission should at least be better than Adsense, though not much better.

2. Set up some sort of Groupon or RetailMeNot deal with local restaurants, bars and other businesses where you print off a coupon from this site and you get a 10% discount on the evening immediately following Blue Jays games. Either sprinkle the coupons around on the site or have its own dedicated section if you get enough demand. It could also work for Raptors or Leafs games in the off-season. You just need to send a form email to every potential customer within a 2 km radius of the Rogers Center or ACC or go door-to-door if you're really ambitious.

3. Get some rep at Rogers on the phone and see if you can become a partner site for the Jays. For what exactly, I don't know. It's your site so you'd have to figure that one out.

If you're too lazy or busy to do all this stuff, especially #2, hire one or more of these school-aged guys to do it as a summer job and share the commission with them. Then the only thing you need to do is the back-end work on the site and maybe some accounting/auditing and relationship management with any clients you do get.

I don't really care too much. If I can cover server costs, I'm happy. I might test out Amazon too.

#2 is honestly too much work to make an extra $50 or whatever it may be. If it was more money I'd consider it.

Probably contacting local businesses would be the best best and rotate the banner. I might get around to that one day.

Thanks for the advice though.

As I've mentioned in texts to you. I really believe that King is the guy to take over the account. If he goes Rogue again it's not tough to change the password and take it over again. He's doing a great job with the MiLB updates and would be great even if he's just tweeting about those it should increase traffic a bit.

I did it for the first month of the board and I had it it on my resume when I applied for internships...it helped considering I am an old guy entering a new career.

That's actually pretty cool. Wasn't aware people put that on there.

I said I would do it in April but still waiting. I feel like the ship has sailed.

Juiced should give the account to multiple people (us). And I would nominate BBBB if he was interested.
