ChrisS Verified Member Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Are you leaning my way on Alford. That fall league is not the mlb. But I'd much rather sign free agents then trade all the prospects away. And why have the blue jays not made a move to improve this team. The jays have lots of holes to fill and sitting watching everyone else is not helping Am I the only one who started off reading this as a poem? lol They are doing things, lets just hope we are going to like them..

SAAviour Verified Member Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 My guess is the big money free agents, and the trades involving big money players are on hold until the new CBA is in place. And I have to believe the Jays will be in on some big contracts after the last two years and the crowd support they gained.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Not really a sport but WWE fans would take it hands down. If you ever saw Making a Murderer thats exactly what the entire crowd is like, minus a few kids. What is this based on? I'm not even a huge WWE fan but I know enough about it to realize that they actually have some of the brightest fans- a lot of the more knowledgeable fans look at it from the business standpoint of how they book their matches. It's actually extremely interesting the way they write the show and a lot of the hardcore fans realize this- it takes someone a bit different to really appreciate the show, but those people are not dumb at all. Like someone said, there's idiot fans in every sport (or "show" in this case). Before you say it's scripted or whatever obviously everyone knows that lol.

Funny thing is though, a kid sitting behind me was the loudest, most obnoxious one of all

I worked at a Smackdown show and 80% of the crowd were hillbillies with chained wallets and/or ripped sleeve tank tops. Also saw more than a fair share of people walking around with fake WWE belts on. Sure there are going to be smart people in the crowd but the majority seemed to be of the uneducated variety.

Yeah idk what the f*** he is saying that WWE fans are smart. Give your head a shake. Most WWE fans think that its real wrestling.
Key22 Verified Member Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 So rather than 1-1 - would you try to make a multi-player deal and acquire Adam Eaton and Jose Abreu for Stroman + (Pillar or Travis) + prospects. I don't really like giving up on a Stroman - (I'd sooner trade Happ/Estrada) but I doubt they go for the older more expensive assets with less years of control. Eaton we'd have until 2021 if options are picked up. Abreu according the JPM - is getting expensive for the White Sox but he is also under control through 2020. Abreu will be less expensive that an EE and is probably about equal defensively so not suckage but not great - and is only 29. In these two players you get a lefty and a righty bat and covers two areas of need for not that much money.

I went to see Smackdown on Tuesday and the crowd was pretty much indistinguishable from what you'd see at a hockey game. Now bracing myself for the mocking I'm about to take.
