z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I am 6 feet and 150 pounds so I usually wear medium all the time, all my friends wear mediums or large, I don't know anyone personally that wears an XL. You're still in high school aren't you...

Governator Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Thanks Governator, I had to photoshop and clone some people underneath the camera bay near the TD zone due to some massive head in the photo but it turned out decent. Wouldn't have noticed, the levels seemed a little intense though - upped in photoshop? Still great though I love the full CN tower in there.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 then you must not know that many people personally. I'm with Grant here. I'm 6'4" and L's are always too short after a few times in the wash. Pisses me off when you get a shirt in a case of beer or something and you know that s*** won't fit for long.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Yes, and a lot of these kids are heading off to see Jays games this year with their fams, and the 8-10 year olds on my kids team talk about the Jays scores and emulate the hitters all the time. We have the Honda Super Camp next week. Alomar, Devo et all will be here. I'm probably more excited than my son. I posted this back in May but here is a great news story on the "Blue Jays Bump" increasing enrollment 25-30% in LL. Calgary baseball diamonds see 'Blue Jays bump' as kids flock to little leagues http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/little-leagues-calgary-blue-jays-baseball-1.3581004 Good Read Big C, Thanks!!! Man seeing those pictures sure bought back some memories of my old Lion 35ers days, Good times!!! Yup I still hate them f***ing monarchs Lol Devooooooooo

vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 You'd think they'd make the seats a bit wider in that case. I feel like I remember reading that was something they wanted to do as part of their ongoing improvements, but I could just be crazy. I'm also not sure they'd want to lose seats now when the attendance has gone up so much. But yeah, certain sections are very, very tight, and I'm only like 5'5, so I really don't know how tall people are doing it. The worst that I've sat in were the TD seats, where there was basically no room between the seat in front of my and my legs. I've also found the 100 level outfield to be tighter than the 200 outfield. You: I didn't ask for all of this.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 You can't please everyone. I'm 6'6 with wide shoulders, so XL is a necessity. If it's long sleeve, I don't even bother trying. Large seems like a fair compromise for everyone though. Oh, I know. I mean, I wouldn't even attempt to advocate for them giving out women's sizes, but I've always thought it wouldn't be too much of a hassle if they had small through extra large. And then obviously once the size you want is gone, you're out of luck and have to get one that's larger/smaller.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 They were XL, I threw mine in the trash, snapped a good photo though with the gropro, had to cut out some heads. http://i.imgur.com/WA4aATV.jpg Pfft, this is foolish. Nice picture, though.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Donaldson up to 5.3 WAR now, tied with Trout again. It's still crazy that he's pacing better than last season. They're a full 1 WAR ahead of the competition as well, so if the pace continues JD is a two-year MVP.

Section 231 reppin' for years here, best seats in the house, rare foul ball death to face, wider seats, only 15 rows, bathrooms close by, less crowded, always in the shade, best of all CUP HOLDERS!

I guess you get cup holders all through the 200's, because they also have them in the outfield seats. I'll have to sit there one day, though I've always preferred first base side, so I might go with that first instead.

I've sat in every corner of the stadium, 3rd base side, 2nd deck are the money seats imo as well. Same as 1B side but the shade makes a big difference. Only thing I don't like is going there with my kids because they complain about having to walk around the stadium to the gates / seats lol.

Yeah the whole 200's get cupholders it is great. 3rd base side is bless in day games though with the sun since you're always in the shade which is great.

Gate 11 is the best gate to enter if you're on the 3rd base side 200 level.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 This is a really poor statement. Despite the impressive half season, let's not forget that Carrera (as well as Smoak) has been an entirely replacement level player his entire career. Could something have changed? Sure, walks are way up, strikeouts are reasonable, and he's made some good contact this year. However, his defense is at times atrocious - he takes absolutely terrible routes and are often preceded by bad reads off the bat - despite being fast, he's not a particularly elite baserunner, and while I'd love to be wrong he's more than likely not this good of a hitter. Is Smoak any better? No, not really, he has decent potential with the bat but has some of the biggest holes and easily exploitable flaws that I've seen in a Blue Jays hitter. He's only a 1B, a supposedly decent one at that - he is very sure handed - but still doesn't carry that much value. This is not me advocating for Bautista in RF - the guy is clearly done as an outfielder - or completely s***ing on Carrera who has done a great job holding down the fort but to say that the latter is that much preferable to Smoak when in reality they're both rather inconsequential players is a stretch. I put way too many hyphens in this post. I 100% agree with you, especially the part about you using too many hyphens . But what I'm meaning to say is currently Carerra is having a better season than Smoak, and with the way Smoak is battling, Carerra brings another element out there wth his speed and bunting abilities, so even if he does enter a slump he has a weapon he can use to avoid a strikeout unlike Smoak. Another part of this for me is I think overall defensively, Carerra in right and one of EE/Bautista at 1B is much better than having Smoak at 1B and Bautista out in right. I haven't seen the defensive metrics, but by the naked eye EE has been just as good as Smoak, I can really thing of 1 or 2 blunders at 1B (had a hit skip past him I think and couldn't catch Tulo's throw), plus I have a feeling Bautista would be great there he's super athletic
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Holy Schnikies! Oh yeah. Enrolment is up everywhere. Tried to resign my brother for Milton's baseball league and they hit their capacity back in Feb I think they told me... Last season they didn't fill all their spots. My old league in Scarborough hit capacity really early too my friend told me

Dude someone here told me the best cheap seats to get are 500 behind home plate and holy s*** what a view it is. I'll give 200 level 3rd base a shot, I sat field level 3rd base line a couple of times and it was fun (got my glove signed by Travis Snider and shook Arencibia's hand on his debut day lol I thought we got the second coming of Pudge)

I just didn't want to spend the massive amounts of money on my regular 200 level seats so I grabbed the 500's for a decent price for all the games then got refunded after the ALCS

Lots of foul balls and as mentioned quick to get in and out. I've also sat front row 200 in that section several times and enjoyed those games the most in terms of comfort (tons of foot room too). I can't stand level 100 on either side, though I've never had first 5 rows. It's a hot sweaty mess and as a shorter person there's always someone blocking my view and getting in and out is annoying.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 it's ok! This season no tickets will be refunded . WE'RE GETTING A RING BABY!!! That's the spirit, to this day I haven't seen the finale Donaldson ground out in Game 6, I turned off the TV as soon as it left the bat and rolled to 3rd. Jays should have won that game and Stro vs Wiggle Butt in game 7 would have been a Jays win and the Mets sucked, Jays would have won it I think last year if they got to game 7. This year will be better!

I used to have my flex pack in the 100's behind 1st base and you're right, hot sweaty mess all times. Anyone an inch taller than you sitting a row in front good luck seeing anything, also people going to the bathroom/food/drinks all the f***ing time blocking your view, 200 level all day every day thank you very much, less people and seats are positioned better so you don't get blocked too often.

I feel like I miss being in the sun when I get stuck in the shade, but then when I sit in the sun like I did this past Sunday, I'm practically begging for the clouds to roll in for some relief. I don't make any sense.

As mentioned, I like first base side. It's a good view, especially if you're within the first ten-ish rows, which I definitely prefer.
