I really would be surprised if they did. If there was one I think is more likely, I'd say it's Edwin.

he said preseason that he wouldn't talk during the season.

drafted 2010.... he could be a rule 5 next year???

Either that or he'd be eligible for minor league free agency. Not sure which one, possibly free agency. If they thought of him as anything he'll surely be added to the 40 - maybe for September callups.

I mean, he's better than Brady Dragmire...

his numbers are good. There has got to be a time this season where they could at least kick the tires on Barnes and not keep calling up guys who fail every time they get called up.

It's been said but Danny Barnes deserves a shot in the bullpen, sometime - http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa549713&position=P

Guy has dominated every level. Projects pretty well, he's probably better than Ryan Tepera who keeps getting the call.

Or Ben Rowen.

Well he got moved up to AAA, so he might get a look in later in the season. Right now believe it or not our BP is full, I want Shultz to get a fair shot this time around. we'll probably sustain an injury soon then he'll get his shot

And that doesn't take into account streams (both illegal and legal). Noice.

Bo throws so hard. Didnt he crack a 100?

It is possible that he cracked 100, I don't know, but according to fangraphs his vFA (Four Seam and Unclassified Fastballs) averages 96.1 and his vFT (Two Seam Fastballs) averages 98.5 mph - http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=5028&position=P (glossary of terms - http://www.fangraphs.com/library/pitching/complete-list-pitching/)

His average velocities are actually up this year.

Tepera really frustrates me. He has solid peripherals in AAA but can't seem to do s*** once he gets to Toronto. I'm really hoping we see Barnes, Rowen and Dermody (Dermondy?) come September if not before hand, all are doing really well this year and we do have waste of the 40 man.

Tulo coming around is big for this team. That is a long lineup with Tulo and Travis batting 6th and 7th. Crazy long

I'd still take our lineup over the Redsox or the Orioles. Orioles depend a lot on career years and somehow they always find guys who have that 1 great year there. Reynolds and Cruz come to mind

I'd also take our pitching over both so it's hard for me to imagine us not winning the division by 5-6 games.

Barnes seems to be the logical choice to get the next opurtunity. Schultz is fine for now. Hes earned a little rope.

I don't think I can last until Friday night's game

The All-Star break is the worst part of the season by far. I hate it.

Me too. I am trying to view it as the upside is every day Jose's toe and Estrada's back should be getting better without missing any games.

Never heard of a World Series of Farming before. I bet if there was one, the competitive juices would start flowing and they'd all be trying to get the finest tractors money could buy to one up the competition.

That happens naturally with the "keeping up with the Jones' effect". However, the stupid ones who fall into this trap usually go broke pretty quick...

I guess we can just rewatch ALDS game 5 for the next three days....

One of the greatest moments of my life. Went to Texas to watch games 3 and 4, and was super angry thinking that the Jays might lose because of a fluke play of martin throwing the ball off of Choo's bat. I screamed so loud when Jose hit that homer I got dizzy.

Do you hate the game itself? or just the break associated with it?

I still love the all-star game. With the advancements in TV, we obviously are much more exposed to all the great players - but there's something mythical about the all-star game and the history surrounding it that makes me feel like a kid again.

The first all-star game was organized to raise money for the widow of Addie Joss. He's relatively unknown now, but he had a real shot to be a top 5 pitcher of all time had he not died in the prime of his career.

Its good for watching. Good to give players a break. Especially Pillar who is beat up. Oh and you get set up the rotation. Only good things come from the ASG. I mean we don't get to watch Baseball Wendsday and Thursday boo hoo.

That's a long time. I always hate our off days, but at least there are other games to watch. Absolutely no baseball at all is terrible.
