Ya he had 1 good year with us a couple years ago then after that he turned into a pumpkin like most relievers. Which is why you don't go hog wild on relievers in free agency we have better in house options in Leon and Biagini.

This is probably the best outcome for him, he has the chance to latch onto another major league club. He's pitched well enough in spring for a team looking for a big reliever to take a chance on.

The Blue Jays have released righty Steve Delabar, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports on Twitter. Toronto also cut loose southpaw Randy Choate, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca was among those to tweet.

I never liked Randy Choate. He is a waste of a roster spot. The guy is obviously only effective against lefties, but I want someone who will at least have the chance to get a righty out.

His 2013 season was the most feel good story of a player I've seen in a Jay uniform. I was really disappointed last Spring when they didn't keep him on, not to mention how senseless it was losing a year a of control of Castro / Osuna at the time. I hope he finds success elsewhere.
