G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) is this Stroman's final game until the season opener? Has to be, yeah Gives him 5 days rest before starting vs Tampa on Sunday Edited March 28, 2016 by G-Snarls
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 He was like a 4-5 win player with framing factored in. Did you expect him to be Buster Posey? No but I think his complete meltdown in the playoffs really didn't sit well with me.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Why did they take out Stro after 60 pitches?
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Chavez with an excellent inning striking out 2.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Why did they take out Stro after 60 pitches? Probably a combination of pitch count and wanting him to go into the regular season on a high note after striking out the side in the 4th.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Practice brah. I doubt Gibby lets Pillar try to steal very often during the regular season Good call...why would he maximize Pillar's value. He was only successful 86% of the time last year.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 No but I think his complete meltdown in the playoffs really didn't sit well with me. You should probably shut'er down man. What you're doing is the opposite of winning.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Chavez striking out batters at will

Bottom line is Martin performed like a top 5 catcher in the league last year. Sure he had a bad game or stretch, so does everyone. Not sure what else you want? We went from the worst starting catcher in the league in JP to one of the best in Martin and lunatics still complain.

I love Martin, I really do, but God help us if he goes down. After seeing Thole and Jimenez in ST our season is basically over if RM goes down.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 8 ks for the Jays batting. Ugh.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Did I hear properly; did Venditte get sent down? Why???
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 Chavez striking out batters at will Should be a good asset for the bullpen and one of the front runners to start over for any starter who gets injured
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Velasquez alone was too much for Giles. He's good, but has injury problems.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 Ball through JP Arencibia's legs on a pop up bunt he let drop. Sounds like a funny play.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 Ceciliani goes deep on a killer shot on a 3-0 count

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Why the f*** did Choate face Ruf? Does Gibbons not understand hes a super loggy.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Why the f*** did Choate face Ruf? Does Gibbons not understand hes a super loggy. It's spring training. Wanted to see how bad he really is against righties. He got his answer.
Governator Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Why the f*** did Choate face Ruf? Does Gibbons not understand hes a super loggy. if he uses him as a defined loogy in Spring Training he'll get 2.2 IP.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Did I hear properly; did Venditte get sent down? Why??? I really hope this didn't happen. Especially with Marco opening the season on DL makes zero sense.

I was listening and getting work done at the same time. I could have misheard. Looking for confirmation from someone. Did Venditte get sent down?

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Ceciliani could be better than Saunders. He's got a really nice approach at the plate.

spats Verified Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Was at the game today, unfortunately left after the 7th and missed the home run but I was particularly impressed by Chavez. He threw 2 perfect innings with 3 k's and his fastball was sitting around 94. Umpiring was pretty bad today...lot of chirping from the bench which you rarely see in Spring Training. Choate had Ruf out on strikes before he hit the home run.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
