glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Ask Glory. Gibby still having a job is grounds to start a Fire Gibbons thread, so if my approval is necessary, then I approve. Although I probably won't be as aggressive with my hatred this season most likely. A playoff berth after a 22 year drought can mellow a dude out a bit. Gibbons is still bad, though.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Here is the thing we have 8 pitchers that can be starters in this league i would bet you we use at least 7 of them because injuries happen no Rotation stays away from injuries all season this sounds like it could be a fact. I am just happy for the depth. Start Sanchez and if he struggles you got lots to fall back on. He has pitched great and this will be his last shot i am guessing at a rotation spot. No harm in trying. This coming from a Floyd fanboy.

I think I will start this year with a clean slate. So it might take me a little longer to start the thread this season. Not having Sanchez as the 5th starter would be strike one though.. .

Except if you put Floyd in the pen......given all his injuries lately, you may use up his bullets or be unable to stretch him out as a starter (can we even send him to AAA to be stretched out? I guess if he agrees to it). Thus if you don't go with Floyd from the get-go, you may only have 7 starters...when on average, teams use 8-10 each year. That might be a bad idea.
