FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Every year my buddies and I have a small draft of who will have a breakout year and then the group votes. Last year, Travis was on his way, then Estrada was out voted by 1 over Pillar and Cola. Any thoughts on this year? Is it Goins? I have first pick this year and can't decide. Last year I chose Pillar 2nd.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Saunders hopefully. Feel bad for him.

Last year I chose Pillar 2nd. You guys have a weird definition of "breakout player" if Estrada was in the mix last year. He was a veteran with successful years in his history. He was better in 2012 than he was in 2015, arguably. Anyway, the #1 choice should be Pompey.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 You guys are harsh. Perhaps career year from someone who's not establish would be a better description. How do you measure it? WAR Pompey or whoever win the 5th spot in the rotation looks like a good choice to me
Cyborg Verified Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 The thing is most of our team is established and has already broken out Pompey, Hutch and Sanchez are like the only possibilities.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Yeah, this is dumn. Not sure if anyone's ever told (I am sure they have) but you are the biggest idiot on this board.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 CHAD GIRODO MLB JOSE ESPADA MiLB
Governator Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I really hope Saunders can have a healthy season, I'm looking forward to him not hobbling on one leg and smashing the ball. This will be his year, he has a lot to prove.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 My pick is Smoak He, if everyone will breakout. Him and Saunders.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 The thing is most of our team is established and has already broken out Pompey, Hutch and Sanchez are like the only possibilities. Exactly, there's career years, and breakouts.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I would consider this who takes the biggest step forward based on their value now...my vote Pompey
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I'm going to say Hutch but I do hope it's Sanchez.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Yeah, this is dumn. He, if everyone will breakout. Him and Saunders. Lol spanky. I like how you said it was dumn then proceded to play along
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Sanchez bandwagon continue. He have great talent, but can't developed for some reasons. Hope and pray Shapiro make him a real pitcher
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Really hope it's Hutch. Pompey and Sanchez still have time to season, but Hutch needs to become a staple of the rotation sooner rather than later. No more competing with castoffs and developing rooks to land SP5.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Hutchison's future success will be in the pen. JA Happ has something to prove, Chavez could be the next Estrada. Pompey is the clear cut positional player choice, the kid has talent. Travis has already shown he's a big league ball player. Goins will be better offensively this year and will keep pressure on Travis.
