Exactly what I was hinting at, especially since he's got saiyan hair, just like Stro who used one last year.

Colabello breaks Ted Williams batting average record with a .420 mark. He does this while sporting a BABIP of .510, and with Saunders knee exploding, Pompey catching the HIV, Gibby deems it necessary to start Cola in LF. He finishes the year with .2 WAR

C'mon man this is the bold predictions thread

Posted
- Tulo puts up 7+ WAR

- Donaldson puts up 8+ WAR

- Bautista puts up 6+ WAR (with 45 hrs and a .430 OBP)

- Edwin puts up 4.5 WAR (with 40+ hrs)

- Travis has 600 PA and 4+ WAR with a .370 OBP

- Pillar repeats another 4+ WAR season with better offensive and slightly worse D

- Pompey takes LF and puts up 3+ WAR in his 1st full season and OBP over .345

- Stroman regains his K/9 from his MiLB days, 10 K/9, and goes on to win the AL Cy Young

- Storen saves 45 games and Osuna pitches 120+ IP out of the BP

- Hutch continues to be inconsistent and never leaves AAA

- Sanchez spends the 1st 4 months in AAA starting, and, only, in the 4th month does he finally lower his B/9 and raise his K/9 to show a hidden potential, before joining the MLB BP

- Happ continues his Pittsburgh form on a lesser scale

- Chavez reaches Hutch's potential as a 9 K/9 starter with a great FIP over an entire season

Blue Jays go 162-0.

Solid, I think he go 230+ tbh, he's ready to go.

230?! Dude, this ain't the 2003 anymore when there was 10 guys in each league with that many.

I'll add in...a Jay is put on the 60 man after a pre game soccer injury. Shapiro and Gibbons somehow get blamed

Totally a Saunders move

- Gibbons fired before the All Star break.

- Bautista injures throwing arm.

- Sanchez in rotation, Hutchinson is not.

- Left side offense is most prolific in the game.

- 5 players hit 30+ homers.

Sid Seixeiro gets raped in the studio parking lot after hours. Much of Toronto sports media becomes enamored with covering the ordeal until they don't.

If Gibbons gets fired with 5 players hitting 30 homeruns our pitching staff must be absolute aids.

Prediction number one:

First chance he gets, Shapiro will fire Gibbons

Prediction number two:

Eric Wedge will be the new skipper

Prediction number 3:

Jose will be an annoying source of distractions all season long

Prediction number 4:

Sadly, Marco Estrada will soon discover that Russell Martin isn't as good a game caller as Dioner Navarro

Prediction number 5:

Kevin Pillar will continue to swing at bad pitches and won't progress at the plate, may eventually lose his starting job to Dalton Pompey

Prediction number 6:

Drew Storen will close until Gibbons is fired

Prediction number 7:

If Devon Travis returns healthy and productive anytime during the season, the Shapiro/Atkins tandem will look to trade Tulo

I'm assuming you mean left side of the infield, and if so, really going out on a limb there...

Martin is better game caller than Navarro IMO.

Easily. I still remember Navarro having 0-2 counts or 1-2 counts, then having the pitcher pitch outside the zone hoping the hitter would swing, resulting in a 3-2 count or a walk. Was. f***ing. Annoying. Martin does that a lot less and has guys attack things a little more.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows that Martin is better than Navarro at everything about catching. Except maybe blocking, but Martin is a fairly small guy and Navarro is fat.

Better might not mean more effective (depending on the pitcher). Martin may choose better sequences, but if the pitchers are more comfortable with the sequences that Navarro calls, even if less optimal, the end result could still be better.
