Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Lawrie was traded bro. lol
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 - Sean Reid-Foley starts the playoff clinching game. - Vlad reaches A+ And most bold of all... both Saunders and Tulo never go on the DL. Too funny
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 One of Bautista/Edwin is traded by early May Russell Martin is leading off by mid April JA Happ pitches like a borderline #2 Osuna starts off the season with a big ERA/xFIP differential and the team uses it as an excuse to send him down for service time (not really bold whatever) Darwin Barney gets 300 PA One of the AAAA outfielders gets 450 PA and actually plays well Dalton Pompey suxxxxxxxxxxx Gibbons has already brought this up with Saunders sharing the role.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Gibbons has already brought this up with Saunders sharing the role. What he said was, during ST games you may see Martin leading off so he gets an extra AB before being pulled from the game, and to not get too excited about it, implying Martin won't be leading off in regular season games.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Gibbons has already brought this up with Saunders sharing the role. No he said the opposite. Martin won't lead off except for ST.

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 - Tulo puts up 7+ WAR - Donaldson puts up 8+ WAR - Bautista puts up 6+ WAR (with 45 hrs and a .430 OBP) - Edwin puts up 4.5 WAR (with 40+ hrs) - Travis has 600 PA and 4+ WAR with a .370 OBP - Pillar repeats another 4+ WAR season with better offensive and slightly worse D - Pompey takes LF and puts up 3+ WAR in his 1st full season and OBP over .345 - Stroman regains his K/9 from his MiLB days, 10 K/9, and goes on to win the AL Cy Young - Storen saves 45 games and Osuna pitches 120+ IP out of the BP - Hutch continues to be inconsistent and never leaves AAA - Sanchez spends the 1st 4 months in AAA starting, and, only, in the 4th month does he finally lower his B/9 and raise his K/9 to show a hidden potential, before joining the MLB BP - Happ continues his Pittsburgh form on a lesser scale - Chavez reaches Hutch's potential as a 9 K/9 starter with a great FIP over an entire season

Cyborg Verified Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I'm predicting d'Arnaud > Martin (he is already if he could stay healthy) Martin is the 2nd best catcher in the game already behind Posey.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Jays are just under .500 at the all-star break. Shapiro ships out Encarnacion and Bautista for minor league talent just after the break. Jays fans realize we would have gotten a lot more from EE and JB had we traded them at the start of the season.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Osuna struggles as a reliever, gets sent down in May, and is stretched out as a SP for the rest of the season.

If all of that comes true we win 130 games!

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 -Travis gets to 4.5 WAR Very impressive for only half a season
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 - Travis has 600 PA I know this is the bold prediction thread and all but come on, he's out until at least May.

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Very impressive for only half a season Well, I'm assuming he plays about 4 months of baseball. If he does that, and is hitting leadoff, it's possible.
intrigid Verified Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Saunders is paralyzed from the neck after a horrific roof accident during the last game of spring training. He makes a miraculous return in September and becomes the first ever pinch hitter to earn a complete game in the postseason. During an uneventful game in April, an awkward slide by Tulo into 2nd causes Dan Shulman to blow out his vocal chords. He returns later in the summer but it seems like he's never quite the same. During a thrilling pennant race late in September, Kevin Pillar disappears over the center field fence to rob what would be Arod's 763rd home run. After several minutes of play, it becomes obvious that Kevin isn't returning. The ball shows up on eBay a few months later from a mystery account and Kevin is never seen or heard from again.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I'm not sure which is more rediculous, but Travis is out until May-June so unless we have 5-6 extra innings in every game he's not getting 600 PA. Ridiculous is rediculously hard to spell.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Colabello breaks Ted Williams batting average record with a .420 mark. He does this while sporting a BABIP of .510, and with Saunders knee exploding, Pompey catching the HIV, Gibby deems it necessary to start Cola in LF. He finishes the year with .2 WAR
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Jays win 100+ games and World Series and the 2016 team goes down as the best team in the franchise's history.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I know this is the bold prediction thread and all but come on, he's out until at least May. Gets a hold of a miracle bean, of which he consumes, and ends up making the opening day line-up.
