Apparently, the sale for the single game ticket started to those who subscribe to the inside pitch today..

And regular single game ticket sales start on Thursday..

Couldn't secure the home opener ticket..

Now I'm now trying to get a ticket for my birthday, but I don't know why the link is so slow...

Secured my ticket for my birthday!! May 3rd against the Rangers.

Glad to see the Blue Jays play against the team which has Korean player (Shin Soo Choo)

The lady expects me to get Donaldson bobble head tickets vs. the Athletics and I intend to try not to disappoint her.

I actually want all three of the bobbleheads. I only have an Encarnacion one that I never took out the box.

I have like eight of them. One of my aunts is a superfan and she goes to every Sunday home game and always has extra swag that she gives me. I didn't get any from last year, though.

The tops of my bookshelves are a museum to Blue Jay busts: BJ Ryan, Lyle Overbay, Brandon Morrow, Ricky Romero, Yunel Escobar, Brett Lawrie, JP Arencibia, and a Jose Reyes figurine.

I also have Bautista, bless his soul.

Man I wish I had one of those. Eddie and my wife share the same birthday.

Couldn't get a pair for the home opener, though managed to get a single for myself this morning in Sec 119, like 10 rows up. There are still singles available, though they're all the way in the OF corners right now.

Managed to grab a 500 level pair for Canada Day though they are crummy seats in Sec 509, Row 17. Also, got some pairs in the 500 level for Sunday May 8th and Sunday May 29th, Sec 533 Row 20 so meh. I'll likely sell those games on StubHub if I can't go, so they'll be easy to move. Not much left in terms of quality seats in the 500 level for premium weekend giveaway games, though I'm sure more will be released during the General Public sale. They limit the amount of seats for Inside Pitch subscribers. I doubt you'll get through on Home Opener tickets this Thursday, probably better off trying getting a pair to the Canada Day game right at 10 AM instead.

I'm probably gonna try home opener and Canada Day again on Thursday..

I secured couple of tickets on my birthday (Jays vs Rangers) and I will either bring my best buddy or my girlfriend to the game

Lord help us - keep me away from opening day. 45,000 drunk bandwagon fans who aren't even watching the game and 5,000 diehards who will regret going....

Game 2 is the one to aim for.

yeah,, the yahoos love the home opener for sure, but this time at least half of the crowd will be filled with season ticket & flex pack holders ... then home games 2 & 3 ... Sat & Sun vs Red Sox (with Price probably pitching Sunday) ... will be slim pickings ticket-wise ... then the Yankees come in ... so should be a hoppin' first homestand.

I went to a Home Opener once. Never again. I'm gonna try for tickets for a bunch of late September games, hoping to be there if they clinch the division or at least it's meaningful baseball.

Damn, this should be REALLY good news in terms of attendance

Were season ticket sales up too??

yeah, Stephen Brooks said that the Jays have more new STHs than any other club.

with attendance looking to be thru the roof this season (thanks to Alex,) puts pressure on Shapiro not to have a big dropoff of fannies in seats next year under his reign.

Judging from the size of the STH event, the bump was huge.

Shapiro was on MLB Network radio yesterday and when asked about Bautista and Edwin, he said that success in 2016 and seeing more revenue growth would go a long way towards affording them / getting approval to pay for them.

See how he used logic and common sense there? This guy's a pro!

So don't expect anything before the season.

24 more hours of ticket sales like this and he can afford 3-4 more years of Bautista easily

That's pretty much what he said

Maybe he's thinking all star break? That's what I'd go for. Time to judge attendance, standings, team needs, etc but still potentially avoid letting Bautista get to free agency

It makes all the sense in the world to wait when the player is as old as Bautista. His production this season is very important for his 2017-2019 outlook.

Bought another two pairs in the 500 level for Canada Day and got a pair for Sunday April 24th vs. Oakland.

It's great to see this type of excitement surrounding the team this early. Though Toronto fans will jump off the bandwagon very quickly with baseball if the Jays start to lose or are mediocre. Even last year during the postseason, tickets to ALCS Game 4 and 5 were going way below cost on sites like StubHub etc. Mostly every Sunday giveaway day will sell out regardless of how the team is doing. If the team is winning, then all weekend games are sold out, and it wouldn't shock me to see weeknight games in the summer and September get around 40,000-45,000 per game. The Jays really own the summer market since their only competition per say are the Argos and TFC.

Yes, they probably think Price is on the bump and Revere will be in LF and hitting LO.

As long as they have money

Yup....its all good for the franchise and long term health of the team. I don't mind casual fans. They make up the bulk of the fan base in every market.
