That seemed like it mostly went well. Pillar won't be leading off. Not even worried about that.

Devon Travis has the most fatal sore shoulder in the history of ever. I hope they can stop lying about injuries now.

They didn't lie? He has a pre-existing defect to his shoulder, it's been plated, he should be fine when he gets back.

I hope Rogers broadcasts a healthy number of ST games this year. After the year we just had combined with our owner being the country's leading cable provider, it would only make sense. Time to step it up Rogers, your financial well being could depend on it.

Only 10 games, wow. Would it be so difficult for Rogers to add a few mid week games on their Sportsnews channel (500)? It's actually unreal and embarrassing when you compare the Yankee and Red Sox ST TV schedule.

Rogers doesn't move their crew down there. Unlike them 2 teams you've mentioned. 10 games is more than usual. They borrow feeds.

More to the point, I bet ST games would draw more viewers than whatever else they plan to have on at 1pm most days in March.

I wonder what the financial difference would be... I'm sure they'd do well.

Financial difference by sending a crew and broadcasters, yada. It wouldn't have to be spectacular.

I remember years back, right before Ol' Ted died, they were going to go to an all Jays channel, like the Buds and Raptors, but it was scrapped, Wilner was supposed to be a big part of it. That would've been good, real good. Showing ST daily updates etc, and airing all games. Ted had a plan that was squashed by the board, after he died. IMO.

Ted had a passion for the game and now's it's just a money maker for them. shares and stock prices without any care of whether the team is great or not as long as they are raking in the money

Well, he started a passion for the game, but you're right.

Realistically they could probably just set up a bunch of high def webcams, and have one person control which feed is broadcast at any particular time. Then stream it on the internet. It might not be a high production value, but at least we'd get to see the games. Hell, have a Blue Jay not playing that day do the play by play.

I still think all spring games should be on TV. 10 is nice though it's definitely more. It's trending in that direction.

Some pics I took from my 4th row seat:

Maybe Atkins just loves to Chillax:

Ex Indian, Ramón Peña could be named director of baseball operations in Latin America by the Jays.

It really pisses me off that Shapiro brought in all these Indians, but couldn't find a way to send over at least one of Kluber, Carrasco or Salazar.

The best part about renaming this to The Leadoff is that Wilner can no longer unfunnily call it the "State of the french fries"
