HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 lol you guys are taking these way too srsly original post indicated we haven't done a good enough job addressing our bullpen like the other two rivals made and then BTS pulls out the trump Donaldson card, as if that makes everything all that better. That doesn't make our bullpen any less comforting. sure thing brahs. Lets just hope we don't turn into the 2014 Tigers. http://i.imgur.com/tijLC1T.jpg
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 That's because our bullpen was fine, the Yankees' bullpen didn't need any addressing, and the Red Sox's who did need a bit of help there overpaid to address it.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Make him a reliever and see if he turns into anything. If not, minor league depth. We are starving for news, that's why this nothing move is even a topic.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 lol you guys are taking these way too srsly original post indicated we haven't done a good enough job addressing our bullpen like the other two rivals made and then BTS pulls out the trump Donaldson card, as if that makes everything all that better. That doesn't make our bullpen any less comforting. sure thing brahs. Lets just hope we don't turn into the 2014 Tigers. http://i.imgur.com/tijLC1T.jpg My point was that complaining that the team is (ostensibly) weaker than some competitors is silly, because they're better at other positions, and the 25 (or 40) man roster is what actually matters. And if you're going to be weaker somewhere on paper in January, it should probably be the bullpen.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 That's because our bullpen was fine, the Yankees' bullpen didn't need any addressing, and the Red Sox's who did need a bit of help there overpaid to address it. But they improved, didn't they? And overpayment is not a factor to those teams at all, even if it was talent capital. Our bullpen is not fine. Osuna is a given as a closer, but after him, who can you rely on? Only Cecil. Sanchez is overrated and is only a ROOGY. Loup had s*** luck last year, true, but maybe he repeats his s***** performance? Who knows what we get out of Hutch if he is pitching out of the bullpen and out of the stretch all the time. Delaballs, Schltz and Tepera are all replacement level. Venditte is meh.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 lol forgot about him fine Red Sox David Price Blue Jays JA Happ Yankees lol You're a huge dumbass.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 My point was that complaining that the team is (ostensibly) weaker than some competitors is silly, because they're better at other positions I would agree with that line if we are comparing laterally (position players among one another), but you're comparing two different areas (pitching and bullpen). The 2014 Tigers are a great example of a team that beat the s*** out of other teams in the SP and position player department but neglected the bullpen. And they got swept in the playoffs thanks to it.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 You're a huge dumbass. took you 10 years to find out or are you just repeating yourself?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 took you 10 years to find out or are you just repeating yourself? It's just frustrating because I liked your posts once upon a time. Now you're just a less abrasive Burlingtonbandit.

I'm guessing you know something that we don't know about a starting pitcher the Yankees acquired this offseason?

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Are we sure he's mexican? I think he's of Mexican "heritage" or something. Same way Freeman is Canadian.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 AA = full head of hair manly beard Shapiro = Beardless and Bald Shapiro also has that pedophile look to him.....
rydermike Verified Member Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Are we sure he's mexican? I know he's born and raised in the US, and he never was with his dad, but since the Mexican team called him, I included it.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 The common fan doesn't understand what depth moves are. There are depth moves, then lack of depth moves. This is a lack of depth move. Depth is a position of weakness for this organization. We get the table scraps.
