BTS Community Moderator Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Still no other offers on Swarzak/Pedroia. Dinger on track to get a steal.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 If you prefer one of those other dudes you drafted for me, you can have one of them instead.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 20-team-leagues are weird. There's a ton of decent players, that have basically no value, as they're borderline (ranked 15-25) at their position. Wish you could get 30 teams in Yahoo.

Yeah, holds guys and washed up vets aren't slam dunk keepers in this format. Sometimes even closers get cut if their ratios are just average or their job security is tenuous.

Laika Community Moderator Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Logan Warmoth is basically going to be Xander Bogaerts, without the hype.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Pedroia to Abom for MiLB 41. Confirmed
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Finally, no more Pedroia posts.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Finally, no more Pedroia posts. Yeah, but now I've got other guys to sell after adding more lol. For Sale: Renfroe, Heaney, Zack Wheeler, Tulo, Wilmer Flores, Cotton, Mahtook, Vogt, Mesoraco, Lorenzen, Zych, Casey Gillaspie.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Finally, no more Pedroia posts. Pedroia is gonna score 100 runs this year leading off in front of Betts and JDM.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Pedroia is gonna score 100 runs this year leading off in front of Betts and JDM. Or he could reinjure his knee again and play 300-400 PA of average production as a 34 year old. Which is fine, but hard to buy into.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Pedroia is gonna score 100 runs this year leading off in front of Betts and JDM. Not saying he sucks, lol.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 (edited) So my offseason is basically over. My cuts, should anyone want one of these guys: Jason Vargas Robinson Chirinos I'd also trade my 6th round MiLB pick for a prospect scheduled to get the axe at the cut, provided he's even moderately interesting. What's the protocol for cuts in this league again? Isn't it some combined MLB/MiLB #? AFAIK the rules aren't linked in the Google Doc.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 I'm gonna take on a big pile of Abom's trash and sort out what I like later. To me: Renfroe, Heaney, Wheeler, Cotton To Abom: MiLB 22 (Boxy)

Dinger will likely get some good value out of whatever he decides to keep, and I get something for what otherwise would probably have been cut.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 I'll probably keep the 3 that suck forever and cut the one that ends up breaking out lol.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Renfroe Bros! He had a 1.448 OPS in the minors last year. Just what I need, another sub-.300 OBP slugging OF.

I am literally excited to see Vargas being cut. I might take him in the draft just so that you don't end up with him again because there were a few times I legitimately wanted to reach into my screen and strangle you.

Jaceon will certainly be on my waiver draft board
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 I'm likely not keeping the following: Lourdes Gurriel (that hurts) Matt Holiday Lonnie Chisenhall Tyler Duffey Sal Romano Ryan Buchter Jose Ramirez Oliver Drake Bud Norris Brandon Woodruff If any of those players are of interest....
