Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I think the best course of action is for everyone to identify the keepers that are still on their team, drop everyone else, and then add offseason additions from the free agent pool. I guess also, since it's a 1 for 1 trade, we can just both protect those guys and then do the trade after the draft.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 ^ That's a nice team. Especially dat pen.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Heh. I'm a little surprised he's not keeping Grilled cheese. He's a better bet for holds, but I'm not surprised, because Cyborg is strictly about ratios.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 What day are the cuts due for this league? I think it's the 12th? Not 100% sure though.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 So I think King was insulted by my offer for Cano. Kyle Tucker, my 1st round milb (I finished 19th) and Ian Anderson as toss in. Is that a light return? If anyone has an aging producer available for young players, lmk. Esepcially you Boxy (Cruz)
Cyborg Verified Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 He's a better bet for holds, but I'm not surprised, because Cyborg is strictly about ratios. Logan had 5 more holds in a shortened season! He'll also have better ratios. Also, your team is sexy after year 1, even with only 2 and half SP.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 even with only 2 and half SP. If you strap Chris Tillman to Aroldis Chapman and Marco Estrada to Kenley Jansen, you've got two aces and a lot of saves!

Esepcially you Boxy (Cruz) Yeah that's a pretty cruddy offer for a Top 40 player. There needs to be at least one prospect who can make an impact in the near future. The draft pick is worth very little and Anderson isn't that attractive.

Well I'd add Kolby Allard if anyone is willing to sell impact player for the future.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 What day are the cuts due for this league? Midnight this Sunday.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I'm not sure I'd even start Tillman and co. in fear of them hurting ratios put up by Chapman and Jansen. Yea but unfortunately, Ks and Ws are still categories. Tillman was usable back-end filler in 4 of the last 5 seasons. I probably wouldn't start him early in the week. You are trying to build W and K with a deep rotation and scrabble together SV/HLD afterwards, I'm just doing the opposite. I have my anchor ace and a solid #2 to go with multiple elite relievers, so I'm just cobbling together the back end of a rotation with bulk innings.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 That offer is insulting. I'm a year too late I guess.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Would you trade Cano for that in LOD? If so, let me know and I can start putting the pieces together. Point taken. Yeah with how much guys bash older star players as nearly worthless assets, I was seeing how much I could cash in.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 That offer is insulting. If I put Kolby Allard in there, with the draft pick you're talking probably 3 Top 50ish prospects. I wouldn't do that but as I said, I was hoping someone else might

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I have two roster spots available (11 prospects), could use another reliever or two. Ryan Madson is a closer and I'm cutting him. You can have him for a prospect.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I'm shipping Brett Lawrie to jays4life19, in exchange we are swapping 3rd rd picks.
