I'm in the market for a 2B, clozerz, and maybe a youth for current PT type of deal in the OF. I have Conforto, Buxton, Cruz and Duvall but only spots for 2.

OTB:

Nelson Cruz

Adam Duvall

Jon Villar

Michael Conforto

Maybe Chris Devenski if I can get fair value for him (doubtful)

I added some players yesterday and Frenchsoup added Asher today. I have no idea if this is allowed or not just wanted to bring it up because I saw the discussion in the DDL thread regarding it.

I can drop those players, if not allowed, it's cool with me either way.

I don't think anyone really cares about people adding guys they're going to cut anyway.

We have a Google Doc but nowhere to really post offseason trade blocks.

Do what we do with the BBDL, put a link below each person's name that can point to a google doc. The person can make changes whenever they want to it, and everyone can find it easily.

Looking for a SS and another OF/UTIL bat. Could move anyone on my roster really if it makes sense (except maybe Posey). I also have an excellent farm I could trade from and picks. If anyone is selling a SS let me know!

Today I learned that Asdrubal Cabrera is not in fact 35+ years old. That guy's been around for a while.

lol, I was shocked about that when I was looking into late round shortstops for BORED and the DDL waiver draft. I assumed he was entering his age 34 season or something.

I don't know what to do this offseason unless Greenwood gives a team by team breakdown of everything everyone should do (trade with him, obviously) and what each team's strengths and weaknesses are.

In all seriousness, I don't really know where to go from here. Cyborg was more correct than I realized when he said i have a lot of core future pieces and older core now pieces and not a lot in-between. If Buxton becomes Willie Mays and Bird plays everyday, matching what he did last time he was up, and Conforto learns how to hit lefties and breaking balls and Villar is half as good as this year, and Diaz isn't a flash in the pan (pretty confident about this one tbh) and if Pearce can land a full time gig (thanks Showalter, you f***ing prick) and if Zunino can fulfill his pedigree promise...really, I have only two sure bets on offense in Miggy and Cruz and both are getting old.

If I do nothing, next year I could have the best offense in the league or the worst offense and everything in between.

Not too happy about that.

Thanks to anyone who actually read this and will offer feedback. I'm bored on the bus so thought I'd just nail this out. At least my pitching is pretty outstanding.

You're caught between a rock and a hard place. You can't trade Miggy and Cruz without becoming much less competitive, but you also can't really expect Villar and Hendricks to be this good ever again. You should probably just try to add value pieces as sellers arise and go for it again while Miggy and Cruz are still good, which should be at least another 2 years anyway. Buxton you probably just need to hold unless someone wants him as a piece in a package for a mid-prime all-star.

I don't see why you wouldn't just field the best team possible without gutting your future. Your pitching staff is very good, and your lineup has enough outside of Cruz and Cabrera. You should make the playoffs, and there are no powerhouses, so it's all a crapshoot after that.

Will probably be a quiet offseason for me. I would be interested in moving a shortstop in a deal for a 1B (Ass Dribble, Anderson, Peraza).

Moustakas is coming back next year, so I'm looking to move Martin Prado. Slashed 305/359/417 with 145 R+RBI. Not sexy, but he ranked 230th in value this year.

Would like picks (waiver or MiLB).

He also ranked 123rd in The Arencibia Classic! All around, a great season for Prado.

And he landed a new $45 million extension.

Dammit, would totally be on that if he still had 2B.

You could still go with a 2B-Villar, SS-Diaz, 3B-Prado configuration, and not bet on Sandoval or a 36-year old Phillips continuing to start.

I'd like to turn one of Greinke/Lester/Cueto into a young hitter. SS,3B,OF would be the order of preference, but I'm not married to that either. If there's no bites, I'd look to move one of them for a package of lesser multiple players.

Other players of interest that could be moved:

Reddick

Desmond

Peralta

Capps

No bites on Prado, so I'll see if there's any interest in Bruce Rondon. Probably the early favourite to close in Detroit this year. He was setting up by the end of the year, and had an 11.15 K/9, 3.75 K/BB, and 15.8% swinging strike %.

Looking for picks.

I believe I'll be looking for a 1B upgrade over Travis Shaw since Gurriel just missed on eligibility and some SP depth to help replace Archer from the Stanton trade.
