Savy pitcher with feel for pitching and OK stuff. Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 35s36 seconds ago #Bluejays must keep Biagini on their 25-man roster all season or offer him back to #Giants for $25,000. #Jays just paid $50,000 to get him. Biagani was 27th on the Giants Top 30 MLB Pipeline prospects list: Scouting Grades: Fastball: 60 | Curveball: 45 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 50 | Overall: 45 He lasted 26 rounds in the 2011 Draft, yet Biagini commanded a $175,000 bonus after boosting his stock in the Cape Cod League that summer. San Francisco didn't get much of an early return on its investment as he posted a 4.73 ERA in his first three pro seasons, but he had a breakthrough season in Double-A in 2015. He has advanced further than his father Rob did when he topped out in high Class A in the Giants system in the early 1980s. Biagini has a plus fastball that usually operates from 91-94 mph and can hit 96. He trusts his changeup more than his curveball, though the latter shows flashes of becoming an average third offering with some depth. Biagini has improved his control significantly during the last two years, enhancing his chances of becoming a back-of-the-rotation starter. He doesn't miss a lot of bats because he doesn't have a standout second offering or sharp command, so he might be best as a middle reliever who might pitch in the mid 90s in short stints. Governator Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 he doesn't give home runs, so there's that.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Sounds OK, though he is 25 and hasn't played above AA
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Are we at risk of losing anyone significant in this draft this year?
Governator Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Sounds OK, though he is 25 and hasn't played above AA Basically $25K - $50K for an invite to tryouts.

crazy47larry Verified Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 dont see him sticking all season but i could see us buying him off the giants for pretty cheap if shapiro & co. like what they see.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Deolis Guerra looks like a good pick I like the Guera and the Goeddel picks. Was the MLB portion limited to one round?
King Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 I like the Guera and the Goeddel picks. Was the MLB portion limited to one round? No, there was 2 rounds. The Phillies and a few other team picked 2 players.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 No, there was 2 rounds. The Phillies and one other team picked 2 players. O.K. I missed the 2nd round when I copied and pasted from MLB Trade Rumours. Round 2 Phillies: Daniel Stumpf, LHP (Royals) Reds: Chris O’Grady, LHP (Angels) Brewers: Zach Jones, RHP (Twins) Padres: Blake Smith, RHP (White Sox) Angels: Ji-Man Choi, 1B (Orioles)
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 I'm surprised that no one took a chance on the potential backup catchers available.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Nessy was on the Canadians roster when I saw them a few years ago. Still the most hilarious baseball game I've been to. Nessy had like 3 errors that game. Anyone think that the announcer on MLB's coverage sounds like Jimmy Kimmel?

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Blue Jays pass in AA round (and nearly everyone else does too).
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Marlins took a pitcher from the Cards. Only selection in the AA round.
