burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 It's fun to make huge generalizations about a guy's character/intellect based on legal and harmless things he did to let off steam while his relationship was falling apart. I don't call smashing into your car to grab a gun then shooting it off 8 times in your garage with people around harmless, but that's just me.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 But you should be holding a firearm and firing it off? Idk, go punch a pillow, break some dishes or break a watermelon with a bat or some s*** lol. One action is potentially harmful and one is mostly benign. Yeah, given the choice between the two, Chapman can shoot as many of his own walls as he wants.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Cliffs on harm that was done? Well I would think that at the very least, it's extremely threatening.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Cliffs on harm that was done? If my friend shoots a gun off in his home when he is angry I am reevaluating my thoughts on that person's character. I don't want to be hanging around that person if that is how they choose to deal with their anger.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I am biased. Get a grip. Every post on this board about abuse starts out with it must have been her fault. She must be after his money. Probably the reason I usually believe the woman, is that I volunteered in a womans shelter for 20 years. The things I saw that men had done to women would make you vomit. Or maybe it was I saw a 200 lb guy throw my 90 lb sister down a flight of stairs. Or maybe it was the time, her two babies that were four at the time, ran to the neighbour for help, because he was punching her out. So yes, I am biased and have seen it all. I quit working there when a woman who had come to the shelter with her two kids on numerous occasions, and had gone back again and again because she was afraid. Well he finally got his revenge for her leaving him. He murdered her, and the in laws and the kids. So yes I am biased, and you need to open your eyes to the possibility that some men do these things. That's all very sad and all, but it has nothing to do with any of this. Besides, you're the one who isn't believing the woman in this situation, not me.

Can we really conclude from this that his relationship was falling apart? I've done things that don't please my girlfriend, doesn't mean the relationship is over.
leaffie Verified Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Most of the women i have had relationships with were abused in childhood or in previous relationships. Makes me very sad to think about it. The false accusations that sometimes occur, those are the ones that get plenty of publicity. 99.9% of these incidents are true incidents of men being violent to women, and the only time we hear about them, is if the woman is killed. The latest statistics have one in four women being assaulted at one time in their lives. I will leave this topic, but there is a reason that mlb is investigating

He spent too much money on farmville?

It sounds like Chapman cheated on her, she found out on his phone then got angry at him and the whole thing escalated.

By the way, 40% of domestic abuse victims are men.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I believe the woman, just as I said. Yeah? You believe the part where she said she was not physically harmed at all and suffered no injuries? I didn't really get that from your first post.

So yes I am biased, and you need to open your eyes to the possibility that some men do these things. One time I came home to a sad looking 4 yr old boy in my yard when I came home, I asked what's wrong. My ex decided to grab him by his ear and leave it bleeding because he wouldn't cross the road of a busy street because he was scared of the heavy traffic as it wasn't an intersection with lights. Anyhow, I confront her and she grabs a knife and charges me screaming and swinging it around like a lunatic. I gave her a solid kick to the knee and another to the torso for good measure, disarm her of the knife. The cops are then called by her for abuse, female officer arrives, I bolt and I'm the bad guy. Police almost ALWAYS take the women's side.
leaffie Verified Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 She was afraid and ran outside and hid while she called the police. They come and now she has no one that believes her. That is what I believe is the truth. The rest was conflicting stories, with friends and drivers, getting guns away from him. The point is, he was out of control, and whether, he hurt her, he obviously scared her.

Laika Community Moderator Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Ummm can we delete this thread and ban BTS and Boxy? Thanks
spittin Verified Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Realistically, what could she possibly have seen on his phone to make her so upset? He spent too much money on farmville? Texts from other women, that is usually grounds for WW3.

leaffie Verified Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I am sorry you ended up the bad guy, but abuse of men is the minority. Cities dont have shelters for abused men for a reason. I do believe you though. My nephew ended up in pretty much the same situation, but police did believehim.
